This hammer is very small. I gave it 5 stars because it's an estwing so it's still very well made, and works well to do the jobs it was made for. Though it is very small, I replaced it the same day I bought it. Do your due diligence, read before you buy. Don't be dumb like me.

Can't go wrong with Estwing. I used an Estwing forward weight fiberglass handle hammer for many years. After i finally broke the handle, i purchased this one to replace it. It's just like the one i had before the fiberglass model. These last a long time. They're very good hammers.

I had an estwing years ago and was expecting the same thing. The handle is not as comfortable as it used to be. Maybe I just had a knock-off that was superior, or maybe they changed the handle shape, or maybe I had a lighter model. In any case, this is still a terrific hammer in all respects.My only real complaint is that, in disrespect to their customers, they covered it in ugly stickers that leave sticky filth all over the hammer when you try to take them off. So get your fingernails and rubbing alcohol ready and set aside 5 minutes to clean it, if you care about this.

Best hammer I’ve ever used
I’m a residential install HVAC helper and I use hammers quite often, mostly for their pounding ability and ripping. The lead installer I work along with has about 4 hammers on the truck and 2 of them are really old Estwing’s and two Craftsman claw hammers. After using this Estwing the first time, I never used another hammer and knew I had to get one for myself. It felt so natural in my hand compared to the Craftsman’s. I also thought about getting the claw version, but I rarely ever have to remove nails etc. This is a very high quality hammer and as I'm not a carpenter or in a trade that uses hammers regularly throughout their days, this is as high of a quality hammer I’ll ever need.
