If you listen to Country Music and you don't stray from the usual hand picked "stars" you may miss out on some of the best singers in town who either everyone who loves all things country appreciate... or haven't any clue folks like Suzy even exist.Yes. Dolly, Rebecca, Tammy, Patsy and others... are legends.Suzy is one of those folks who does it all... which is probably why she isn't even a bigger star than she already is. Dolly has been there and done that... and is returning now from her stray adventures to her blue grass roots. Suzy takes us on a bunch of trips too. This album is her noted hits.I recommend you check out her classic folk song albums. If you don't mind the corny old tunes like "Old Dan Tucker" and the "Erie Canal" you will probably love the manner in which she holds true to the songs.She's even got her hooks into a bit of the Jazz tunes too. She's a very smooth and clear and pitch perfect type of singer but her tone and beautiful voice are on par with the best.

Having never bought anything from Suzy Bogguss before but knowing a lot of her songs, I am delighted to have this collection of hits. Such a voice, it’s a trip back in time to the days when she graced radio stations everywhere. You won’t regret buying this CD.

Not so long ago, my folks and I went to the Dominican Republic. While we were getting off the plane we heard the Nanci Griffith hit "Outbound Plane," being played on the satelite radio. I couldn't figure out who it was. So when I got home, I noticed that the other person who sang it was Suzy Bogguss. I borrowed a copy of this album from a friend and now I have it on my iPod. She sure sings some great songs. Others that I like incluede, "Drive South," and "I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart." Now I have just GOT to see her in concert. What a voice!

SOME OF THE BEST OF ...
Released in 2002, this CD covers the early part of the career of one of America`s finest country stars. She, along with others, like Patty Loveless have been largely ignored in the UK.20 tracks, all of which were successful, hence the title of the CD, portray different sides to her vocal ability. Some are pure country, others have a jazzy feel and one or two almost pop/rock. A very talented singer from the outset. There are a few songs which will be familiar, but I am sure that after a few plays, all will become firm favourites. I bought several records by Suzy, but not one CD. I have started late but I mean to go on.I promise that you will enjoy this, if you are a fan of people like Crystal Gayle, Linda Ronstadt and others of that era. Treat yourself, you deserve it!
