It lays out the fundamentals of constructing proofs by carefully discussing the logic that underlies mathematical investigations and then uses various examples from the various areas of math to illustrate these logical principles.I feel this book would be an asset to everyone learning how to construct proofs. While there is no universal template or algorithm to apply to all proofs, at least this book shows you the fundamentals and the applications so you may build your own proofs.

I bought this book for my nephew who is in an engineering program to read over the summer in preparation for some higher division mathematics classes. It worked and it was written in an easy to follow style, according to him. Highly recommended!
