Ivy and the Hummingbird is such a lovely book. It helps children understand that even though some things can be scary, if we learn more about it or face it with our friends and family, it takes away the scary. This is a beautiful book with wonderful message.

Ivy and the Hummingbird is a lovingly written story about Ivy, her family, and their care for each other and for the natural world around them. As you read you will probably learn something new about hummingbirds, and your kids can search for hidden hummingbirds in the beautifully designed illustrations. This is a book I don't mind reading over and over again to my grand kids!

I bought it to read to my granddaughter.... since it tells the story of a grandmother's love for Hummingbirds, which passed on a tradition of love and caring of Hummingbirds, to her granddaughter Ivy... Sweet and charming story for all to enjoy.....

This story is playful, loving, and warm. It's about family, exploring your world, and being a little bit brave. My son adores nature and loves the birds and flowers, especially finding hidden hummingbirds on each page! The illustrations are gorgeous and the text is fun to read as a parent. I also love how Ivy is nervous about loud noises, but discovers ways to overcome her fears. It's a great message for kids with sensory issues or who might be a little nervous when exploring new things. Highly recommend!
