About the Author
After being displaced following the Grenfell tower fire, some of the local women needed a place to cook fresh food for their families. They began to use the kitchen at the Al-Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre, where the women who worked there had been using the facilities to cook for the community. They all shared the kitchen for two days every week, preparing food and eating together. Word spread and more local women began to join in, embracing community and supporting their neighbors in their time of need.
Soon there were women from different cultures all cooking, swapping recipes, talking and laughing. As they cooked, they began to connect, heal and look forward, and have continued to cook together twice a week.
This community of women became known as the Hubb Community Kitchen—Hubb means “love” in Arabic. The women of the Hubb Community Kitchen describe it as a place of good food, love, support and friendship.
The Royal Foundation is administering the transfer of funds from the sales of Together to the Hubb Community Kitchen and related community projects.
The women of the Hubb Community Kitchen in London invite you to make their favorite simple dishes for your loved ones.
A portion of the proceeds from the sales of Together will go to The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, or its wholly owned trading subsidiary, for the benefit of the Hubb Community Kitchen, helping widen its reach to others in the community, and enabling similar projects to continue transforming lives through the power of cooking.

What a beautiful cookbook! The recipes are amazing, easy to make, and the sauces are delicious. The photography is gorgeous. I love the different types of dishes each written by a different woman. I made the Jeera chicken tonight and it was a home run with our guests. The sauce is something I want over and over!Can’t wait to make some of the desserts, they look great.

In 2017 the Grenfell Towers in London had a massive fire with loss of life and many displaced people. The Hubb Community Kitchen in West London opened its doors to people and families, to come in and cook their family meals. The women, in particular, formed a close network, and continue to cook and bake for their community. In 2018 the Duchess Of Sussex made a visit to the mosque where the Community kitchen is located. She was so impressed with the work, and realized the need for funds to keep the kitchen open 7 days a week. The Royal Foundation stepped in and provided the funds. They are part of this book’s publication and funds from each book will go to the Chubb Kitchen. When you purchase a cookbook, you are giving back to these women.There are many photographs by Jenny Zarins of the women in the community, the food and recipes as they are being prepared, and, of course, Meghan, the Duchess Of Sussex.This cookbook is divided intoBreakfasts,Snacks, Sharing Plates and DipsLunches and DinnersSalads and SidesDesserts and DrinksEach recipe has the metric system and the English version of measuring, so no need to worry. The recipes vary a great deal with many nationalities represented. The chocolate cake which looks easy to make and bake is mentioned many times. I grew up cooking with my mom. Sometimes we'd pick recipes out of cookbooks together and make them on weekends to try something new. Now that I don't live at home anymore, I've wanted to continue this tradition. I love following The Royal Family and so when this cookbook by HRH The Duchess of Sussex was announced, I immediately pre-ordered it.It arrived with the cover scratched (however, Bolo is sending me a replacement one for free!). I couldn't wait to try one of the recipes. So, this weekend I made Munira Mahmud's Green Chile and Avocado Dip (on page 45). It didn't disappoint. In fact, it instantly took me back to waiting in line at the Mexican taco trucks with my mom and asking for extra "spicy green sauce" with my tacos.With such a diverse assortment of recipes, some from India, Iran, Ethiopia and Russia, this book is awesome. In fact, a lot of these recipes are passed down through generations which makes it worth every penny. I've committed to making a recipe from this cookbook each weekend and I'm already having a tough time deciding what to make next because all the recipes have accompanying photos and everything looks delicious. I am so glad I made this purchase. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. :)P.S.--A portion of the proceeds from the sales of this book supports the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen.

Have to admit that I purchased this book as I am a huge fan of MM and wanted to have a cookbook on which somehow she is involved. However, as I went through the pages of the book I was captivated by the beautiful recipes and the amazing photography. As a professional chef I know a thing or two about cooking. These recipes are so carefully crafted and written in a way that anyone can understand. The story behind the book is really beautiful and it is a true celebration of life, hope and friendship. I know I will learn a lot about all these cuisines through the eyes of these heroic women. Congrats to everyone who worked on this book and made it so great!.

Such a lovely cookbook and the Tuna Cake recipe is to die for! It is really good if you put it in a middle sized cake pan vs loaf pan so you can get more crunchy crust bottom and sides. It is one of my all time favorite recipes and requires no subs. The dip recipes are all spot on, the plum upside down cake, and so many more. I highly recommend if you love Middle eastern, Mediterranean, and African cuisine you have to get this so you can enjoy your favorites at home. The book in and of itself is pretty and giftable.

I've been wanting to purchase this cookbook, ever since Meghan, and the ladies from the community kitchen compiled it, but only just got around to it now.It's a beautiful cookbook, with a wide range of delicious recipes, complimented with touching stories on all of the incredible women included.I love that purchasing the book helps out such a worthy cause too.I'm looking forward to trying out all of the recipes.

Ich hatte ja schon viel Gutes über das Buch gelesen, aber es ist noch besser als ich erwartet hatte! Die darin beschriebenen Gerichte sehen nicht nur sehr schmackhaft aus, sondern auch die Zutaten machen einem Appetit und Lust sofort loszulegen.Wer öfter orientalische und indische Gerichte kocht, der sollte, wie ich, fast alles an Zutaten schon zuhause haben. Insgesamt ist die Zubereitung auch tatsächlich nicht unnötig kompliziert, auch wenn einige Gerichte mal eine längere Garzeit benötigen.Ich koche diese Woche noch mehrere Gerichte aus dem Buch und freue mich über diese authentischen Rezepte von Frauen, die so viel Freude an und Erfahrung im Kochen haben. Ein durchweg tolles und lobenswertes Projekt, das hier von Meghan Markle unterstützt und gewertschätzt wird!

J’ai acheté ce livre d’une part car j’adore les livres de cuisine et d’autre part car j’ai une sorte de passion kitschissime pour la famille royale anglaise.Je ne suis pas du tout déçue de mon achat. Le livre est d’excellente facture pour un prix relativement peu élevé. Les photos sont jolies, les recettes n’ont pas l’air trop compliquées, et avant chaque recette les cuisinières racontent l’histoire de la recette ou une anecdote.Bien sûr il est en anglais, ce qui ne me pose pas de problème étant bilingue. Je pense qu’une personne ayant un niveau moyen d’anglais peut s’en sortir.Les ingrédients sont globalement trouvables en France sans trop de difficultés, et les mesures sont comme chez nous.A acheter pour faire une bonne action, sachant que les bénéfices vont à une association !
