Typos and misspelling. Needs a lot editing. Some of the content is out of date (e.g. answers still talk about targeted temperature management). Some of the answers are just wrong. An unacceptable number of the questions are poorly written, making answering them properly impossible. There are not a lot of options for anesthesia critical care medicine review/practice question books. Use this book as a guide on the tropics that you should study. If I had any concern that a questions content was wrong, or if I didn't remember the topic, then I researched it. With editing, this would be a much better resource.

Overall, the questions are OK but sometimes ask questions about non-ICU issues or omit key concepts. For example, Chapter 86 on Esophagus asks questions about chemo vs radiation prior to resection of masses and the right bio marker for Barrett esophagus - you know that TFF3 assay that you order every couple of months in the ICU. Meanwhile, the CV Infections chapter didn’t have a single question about the proper antibiotics for native or prosthetic valve endocarditis - something that is all over every ITE I’ve ever taken. Finally, there are far too many typos where the answer in the key doesn’t match the question.

Questions are good quality and answers are comprehensive. Readability is high. You can easily go through 2-3 chapters everyday easily. I read is close to the boards and highlighted all the important details and then just reviewed those couple of days before the test. If you go through this won’t miss much.

i really dont have a good alternative....i think this will do if you want to pass but they have made it too dense...like harrisons

Too many typos and answers choices that contradict the written answer. Quality of each chapter varies. Some are very good and explain why each choice is right or wrong while others are scant on the details.
