Volume 32 of Komi Can't Communicate continues the story of Shoko Komi, the shy high school student and her longstanding quest to make 100 friends before graduating from high school. Now in her third year of high school, with a blossoming relationship with Tadano, and more confidence than ever before, Komi realizes that she still has more than twenty friends to go. Much of this volume is taken up by interactions with classmates Ogiya and later Emoyama. This volume contains chapters 414 to 428 of the story. As is a staple of this series, I found that the artwork is superb throughout this volume. The mangaka continues to use expressive, and sometimes over-the-top, expressions on the characters to emphasize emotions or just exaggerations for comedic effect. I thought that this was particularly hilarious in the scenes where Manbagi is trying to stifle a laugh or when Yamai is once again concocting a scheme to try to get close to Komi. The story in this volume is enjoyable overall. While the main story does not progress too far, Komi makes an effort to take stock of where her friendship quest stands and realizes that there are still others with which she can deepen her relationship. It was enjoyable reading the chapters concerning Emoyama and how Komi takes the initiative is showing concern when she misses school for days. It really showed the depth of character development for Komi over the course of this series so far.Overall, this was an entertaining installment in this series that is sure to be enjoyed by those that have been following Komi Can't Communicate so far.

Each and every book in this series has been excellent! There are really no other words to describe how great this series has been. So I will just say that it will be very sad to see when Komi makes that 100th friend, only because I don’t want it to end! HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

32 volumes in and it's still brilliant. The MC has come a long way since volume 1, and the series now has a vast array of characters. Cute artwork style with some highly detailed sections, and some comical chibly inserts.
