The Night is Young
Right off the bat. I like the art in this manga. It's different from most manga out there; to me, it felt inviting and immersive. It's like I was there listening to these two kids talking and the air moving in the night and speaking about these kids( the protagonists), Kou & Nazuna. They're a couple of cute dorky kids growing up learning about love and friendship. It's nice, and I want to see more. But, I will say this. The comedy is pretty generic; some land, and others I have noticed that type of joke/scenario in other stories. You don't have to do this type of comedy; it's boring, and we have seen it done a billion times. Call of The Night is off to a beautiful start with its inviting art, dorky characters, and fun premise. If the writer keeps this up. I know this series will be loved by many. And with the anime coming out Call of the Night could only go but up.
This is really interesting. Strange, too. Kinda creepy as well. Creepy vibes.
So there's Ko, the 14 yo wanna-be-delinquent who sneaks out of his parents house in the middle of the night to aimlessly stroll around the neighborhood. He's a loner, doesn't feel he has any friends, and decid we d suddenly to stop going to school. Eventually on his walk, Ko encounters a rather odd girl named Nazuma. She teases & toys with him, they talk, then Nazuma invites Ko to come to her place to sleep (!?!). He oddly agrees, and her place turns out to be an abandoned apartment high rise. He is suffering from insomnia, that's why Ko went with Nazuma, because she promised he would sleep well at her place. He pretends to be asleep, and so Nazuma leans over, giggles oddly, and bites his neck. Yep, time to get out the holy water & crucifixes! Except, she doesn't seem all that bad. So Ko continues to meet with her nightly. Then, early one morning, Ko runs into his childhood "friend", Akira, who is an early riser. She shows concern for Ko, which confuses him, but also seems to excite him. So then Ko starts his nights first with Nazuma, then much later with Akira. That is, until Nazuma figures out something is going on. Time for a cat fight! It seems Akira has feelings for Ko, and so does Nazuma (though she loudly denies it) and he, never really having any emotions, realizes that it excites him that Akira and possibly Nazuma like him. Now, on to the next volume!
Great new Vampire story!
I picked this up as I normally do with any Vampire stories with not much of an expectation since they all seem to follow the same tired tropes, but I was more than surprised and excited to read this one and keep reading the rest of the volumes. I like some of the new twists they added to the Vampire lore and to be honest, I am excited to see where they go with it! Loved it and would recommend anyone who appreciates a GOD Vampire story to pick this one up!
Totally Different
I really like the mangaka's drawing style, its just so captivating. I wish all of the page was used instead of the white boarder smaller panels, just a tiny bit small and I feel the mangaka can really take advantage of every space. Also for flashbacks I get confused because there is no transition to all black page it remains white, Im just used to other publishers even though it's VIZ it's different (Sunday Shonen) to Shonen JumpFor Story, Speaking for myself it's interesting really gets you hooked I enjoy the gags etc. However it's still dark and psychlogical as we progress those elements are still there. It's fresh not really into romance but this hits different just something about it's also not a romance, so many twists and turns that you think it might go but it's completely unexpected.
AMAZING manga, Poor packaging on Amazon’s part.
I love this manga so much, it brings such great vibes and has got to be my favorite of all time. The anime is just as good and does this justice. My problem is the way it was delivered. The book was just thrown into the box to bounce around in. When I got it the front cover was a little bent out of shape and had small dents despite buying a brand new one. If you really care about mint condition, consider buying from another site. I don’t really mind it too much but I know that most people care.
A Strange Take on Vampirism
Ko likes to wander around at night and one night he runs into Nazuna...a vampire. It turns out Ko is among others who can't sleep but Nazuna introduces him to the darker, "tastier" side of the night. The only problem is he wants to be a vampire too!I could not put this manga down! I may end up investing in this series more. I love drawings and I love that Nazuna and Ko are developing an eccentric relationship(him being a snack). I have a feeling this series is about more than biting. People wandering at night may need some kind of help, or just enjoying the quiet. Ko wants to become one but SPOILER!.... He has to fall for Nazuna first!
Amazing plot
I’m ngl Im the type of person to read mangas online I have the money to buy plenty of mangas but I feel like I won’t be attached but there are mangas I do spend my money on to read em in the full manga for ex chainsaw man fire force and other call of the night is no exception it has a nice plot at the beginning and the art style is smooth and romantic
Genuinely enjoyed this story so far.
I bought it on a whim, and I must say I've really enjoyed it. The characters are fun and I like the use of nighttime being an entirely different world from the point of views of the main characters.

Couldn't put it down!
Love this manga. It gripped me from the start and really picked up steam towards the fourth chapter. I read this volume in a single day and have already ordered the second and third volumes. Incredibly funny and just a really good read. I can definitely see this becoming a comfort series of mine. Also the first series I've read in a really long time where the vampire isn't a broody misanthrope. The relationship between the two protagonists is easy to get invested in and surprisingly well written and written. 10/10 recommend! Trust the reviews!
