Every time I read a the next installment in this series I end up in the biggest book hangover. Well this one was no exception. I've stayed up until 4am both nights to finish this book. TA Lawrence has a special capability to not only tell you the story, but to make you feel as if you're living it. Better than 99% of authors i've read. In the beginning of this book I struggled (much like Wendy did) to decide if i hated peter or sympathized with him. He's such a complex "villian" in the story. He naturally had such a good heart, especially at a young age. But due to self control issues, and lack of emotional maturity he spiraled into something he would have never wanted to be. I would say that is much like real life abusers. Why so many red flags go unnoticed in people.The nomad was an unexpected delight. Every petty comment he made towards Peter, or about Wendy and Astor had me giggling and kicking my feet. He truly was playing matchmaker for Wendy and Astor.I was holding my breath until Wendy and Astor were brought back together. Their energy and banter is so electric! Both of them are the definition of "deserved better" out of life.I adored the progression of Wendy and Tinks friendship. The first and second book had me questioning why Tink was written so seemingly shallow, only to find out she was trying to help Wendy the whole time.. and then the moment near the end of the book where Tink promises Wendy they would fight together moved me so much.I was thankful we were finally reunited with Charlie and Maddox. I have to admit my favorite scenes from all three books were the ones where Wendy was working on the ship with Astor's crew. I was glad to have a little piece of that back.I could go on and on about this book. If the deal Wendy made with The Sister is what i think it is, I'm so curious how that is going to be navigated in the next book. Plus so many other unanswered questions.Thank you again to TA Lawrence for letting me be an ARC reader of my new favorite series. Cant wait for the next!

This series just continues to keep me interested and heartbroken. Wendy Darling is living in a hellscape as a prisoner of Peter. She may also be having the biggest menty B I have ever seen. Peter is delusional that she loves him and due to fae bargains she can’t fight back. She has to choose Peter always even though she wants Captain Nolan Astor. (I’m still of the mindset that she needs all these men out of her life and live happily with her brother and a good girlfriend or dog or something. ) Anyway, this book is written so beautifully and with care. There are some serious triggers in this book but the author kept the seriousness without the need for graphic shock value. I was constantly on edge while reading this and couldn’t believe how much was happening and how much changed. This was a fantasy series done well and while it’s still unfinished I trust the author to end this well. She also writes pretty quickly so the next book is not too far off. I do think we have a really great storyteller here and need people to read this series.

There is something that keeps me coming back to these books. I’m a sucker for a happy ending, but you won’t find that here. What you will find instead is a roller coaster of anger, sadness, and confusion. Then right as you become infuriated, the author will breadcrumb you with warm feelings of love and hope. Unique spins on the regular fantasy we have all become accustomed to coupled with twists you can’t see coming . Is it love? Is it hate? I can’t say for sure. What I can tell you is that by the end I can’t put it down, and I’m always left wanting more. It’s basically a trauma bond.

Absolutely addicted to this series! I can’t read these to try to get to sleep. I stay up for hours reading. The twists and turns and heartaches. I really feel for these characters. I highly recommend to everyone.

I read this book within twenty four hours and I cried and sobbed like a heart broken girl. i forgot how dark the content is for a book, but I really love how edgy and well written it is. I enjoy that the author really touches based on addiction.I feel like she does a really wonderful job representing it.And what it's like to have people enable that addiction. the fact that this world that the Darlings, is so screwed up with child trafficking, sex trafficking addiction makes my heart just break as if they ever had a chance at real happiness. watching how everything unfolded with John and Tink had me absolutely sobbing. the sister is literally the grossest thing in history, and I'm so upset. I have to deal with her for much longer. how to yoy kill a fate?The first half of the book, just Wendy, feeling pretty much insane and begging and hoping for Astor to save her. .had ne sobbing so much The pain that she felt, it was as if I was right there with her. Peter deserves every horrible thing. he doesn't care about anyone, but himself and to watch how he hurts everyone around him made me physically ill. howie takes advantage of wendy and calls it love how he knows that the bargain is forcing her to stay with him and he knows she's not happy, but does it against her will anyway. I think I'm gonna have a book hangover. Because this was so much I stayed up so late reading it because I had to know what was going to happen. And how it ended shattered me. I can't believe she would do that... I can't believe she would do that 😭

I really enjoyed the book, love the series. Book 3 is a bid slow to start, but in the end worth the read. Can't wait for the next one. Dark romance with enemies to lovers, fated mates. I recommend this to dark fantasy retelling lovers

Can't stop reading this
I was very impatient to read this one, I was left on the cliffhanger off the second one and this one does not receive me, I already can't wait for number 4!I'm also hoping for something good for the protagonist.... Especially someone that lost his voice ;) enjoy your reading!
