"Leadership Rebellion is a fast-paced work for young fans of dystopian fiction. Although it is the second in the series, following the story does not require having read the first book, and it can easily be read as a standalone. The ending, however, is likely to make readers want more. Through this simple yet enjoyable story, the author cleverly addresses issues such as exploitation and manipulation. The book emphasizes that a nation cannot be oppressed forever, no matter how desperately the oppressors try to control the people's lives and actions. Before was a great story and this one is even better! The second part to a dystopian series, I can’t imagine anyone not being full enraptured with the tale of a 13 year old boy on a mission to save a grandma he doesn’t know. This is a book full of courage, bravery, friendship, love, and adventure. I read it in one sitting and will pass my copy along to everyone in my household, especially the middle grade kids who I know will love it too. If you haven’t read book 1, Before, take the time to read it first and fully embrace this fantastic story written for really any age or gender.

Fans of Hunger Games will LOVE this series! It is fast paced and high stakes in a dystopian world that has lost sight of humanity in a quest for efficiency. I don't want to give away the ending, but just have to say, in case the author reads this, there had better be a Book 3!!!

So good! This fast paced book keeps you on the edge of your seat. I love seeing the growth in the main character, Coen. He risks so much to help someone he just met and her family that he doesn’t know. The suspense from the characters hiding from the Leadership is intense. This might be for kids eight and up but as an adult I also loved the story. Highly recommended. This is good, clean literature that should be in every Public and school library. A great book for reluctant readers.

This Dystopian-Adventure has been glorious. I usually dislike reading the dystopian genre because of the lack of hope, but this series has changed my view. The story was told so well as to highlight the glimpses of hope in the smothering darkness of the dystopian world. Through the darkness of the Leadership's rule shown the light of hope, courage, and love. I have been pleased of the demonstration of how one person's light can make a difference. The light will always chase away the darkness because the darkness can only exist where the light has been smothered. I hope that everyone who reads After will be as uplifted as I have been, and recognizes their own light!
