Papasan draws on information from thousands of real estate agents across the United States, and describes three major markets of balanced, buyers, and seller’s markets. He discusses the housing market in the last thirty years and the mortgage interest rates for the last fifty years. Papasan explains the six local data points to know and where to find the information, overall becoming an expert in the topic of real estate.He discusses at length on how to build a database and explainshow to define what goals you have to accomplish to sell $100,000 a year. He identifies several useful acronyms to help define how to conduct your real estate business successfully. Papasan expresses in a variety of ways how being your own boss is beneficial. He delineates how a daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual plan should look.Papasan reports that over the last ten years, only 70% of buyers and more than 75% of sellers interviewed more than one agent before selecting an agent, which defines how important first contacts are for the business.
