This is a perfect tool for complete novice/ beginner. I feel like I’m back in 2nd grade learning to write my ABC’s, when my beloved Grandmother, with her patience and love helped me! Wish she was with me now. Her beautiful manuscript was comparable to calligraphy.

Beautiful book. Practice pages are great. Full of good advice. I recommend purchasing some of the suggested supplies. Tracing paper and Tombow brush pens.

As the COVID pandemic continues on, I've been trying out new activities to find a new favorite hobby. I had never attempted hand lettering, and found the guide to be exceptional for a beginner. 1) I enjoyed the variety of different styles in the book. The lower and upper case guides, and the summary page of the alphabet were helpful both while learning and practicing. 2) The section on how to build and compose a project was helpful for making my own cards and signs. 3) THE SPIRAL!!! I love a spiral and folding it over to not take up so much space. And the pages are nice and wide for a lot of practice per page. I couldn't think of anything else I would want in a lettering book.

I am just trying out a new hobby and saw this book was one of the highest rated on Bolo for beginner calligraphy writers. I totally understand why it is highly rated!It is so easy to follow as it eases through the different styles and techniques for calligraphy! It gives a lot of useful tips, like making sure your forearm is on the table the whole time (it's all about the movement of the wrist) I would have thought the opposite if I'm being honest, lol! It is so easy to read, the author did a phenomenal job in creating this one of a kind book that makes you feel OK to start a new hobby! She never makes you feel dumb or makes things too hard too fast. I am so impressed. I LOVE THIS BOOK!Also, as a bonus- if you email the company, they send you a few extras via email. They are just a couple of printables, but still better than nothing and MORE PRACTICE!Five Stars all the way :)

Esta maravilloso. En mi opinión no lo rayaría, le sacaría copia al alfabeto que quiera practicar o prácticaria en hoja bond blanca para que pueda servir para más miembros de la familia o para practicar con más espacio dado que solo tiene una línea de práctica para cada letra.
Recomendable para principiantes
El libro me llegó en un muy estado, tiene las hojas gruesas y considero que es una adecuada relación precio-calidad. Lo recomiendo mucho para principiantes. Me gustaría que tuviera un poco de más ejercicios.
