I read Jesus Triumphant by Brian Godawa in one weekend during a road trip, and it was an absolutely excellent read! Godawa tells the story of Jesus in a way that feels deeply relatable. It read so well, something only a skilled movie writer could pull off. I was captivated from beginning to end.Now I’m making my way through the appendix, which is packed with fascinating insights that are every bit as intriguing as the main story.I've already ordered the first book of the next series - Chronicles of the Apocalypse.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all of Brian Gidawa’s books that I have read. They are filled with biblical insight, history, intrigue and even romance. Such an intelligent, well educated story teller!

If one has wondered what it could have been like in days of Christ earning and taking the Keys to the Kingdom! This is a fun and well documented adventure of what it could have looked like. Again, the creative license admitted the historical and documented structure gives it a worthy reflection in an exciting telling!

At first, I had a hard time in the leeway that Brian took on Jesus's miracles, like the walking on water. The idea that he needed anything to accomplish this task was appalling to me until I saw the greater message of power and control over things. What a vivid imagination indeed.

I have now read the entire Chronicles of the Nephilim series by Brian Godawa, and I've loved every chapter. Starting with scripture and extra-biblical writings (known as the pseudepigrapha), Godawa adds in his Christian logic and imagination to make an entertaining, often thrilling, expertly crafted series of novels. When I was an aspiring writer, this the type of fiction I wanted to write.Jesus Triumphal is not a retelling of the gospels event-by-event. Certain scenes are highlighted that feature the theme that runs through the entire series: The battle between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent.I was glad to see Simon the Zealot, an obscure apostle of Jesus, appear as a featured character. I have affection for Simon Z because I portrayed him in a stage play based on Leonardo Da Vinci's "The Last Supper."Throughout a series like this, the author will use some "artistic license". Nothing Godawa added to the stories contradicts scripture. There was one scene where I wish he hadn't used such liberty and it conflicted with my belief about an event, but in the end it's my opinion against his.***SPOILER ALERT*** The scene where Jesus exorcises seven demons from Mary Magdalene is magnificently crafted, attention-grabbing, and graphically intense. Some of the action (especially the exit of the final demon) might be unsettling to some readers. I thought this scene was particularly well written.

I have been on a journey through The Chronicles of the Nephilim and The Watchers over the past 7 months and just finished JESUS TRIUMPHANT. Wow! This series captivated my attention, stirred my soul into the deeper things of God, and has stretched my Biblical knowledge. I took this series with me all over the place - to the pool, on vacation, everywhere - and I had opportunities to share what I’ve learned with others. These books are great conversation starters for those who seek more. Brian Godawa is a gifted writer, bringing the reader into a fresh view of the stories we’ve heard and known. I recommend this book series to everyone looking for a new revelation of Yahweh. Jesus Triumphant brings the reader to a triumphant ending of a fantastic well-written series!

Excellent book, but read quickly before return window closes because 2 of 10 books I purchased had pages fall out. I exchanged the first book but it looks like I didn't read this one fast enough.
Wow!
What a wonderful series of books describing the physical and spiritual battles between the seed of the and the seed of the serpent. I know that these books are a work of fiction but they do describe in wonderful detail the world in which the biblical stories are set and when you do look into the bible you realise that there are a lot more references to giants then Are first thought. A must read.
