This is an excellent book that made research easier to digest. It provides a lot of examples and honestly, it is even better than the ones recommended by my lecturers.Don't let the name mislead you. He may not be a big huge name but credits to his ability to write and express the terms well.Definitely a good buy.

Excellent choice for folks with little knowledge of sociological research. Step by step guides are helpful when starting a research project. The guides helped a great deal with organizational aspects of research. The explanations of research terminology are worded in such a way that a beginning researcher can understand them and gives enough definition to help them through future projects. Examples provide great insight into actual research issues.

I purchased this book to supplement an outdated text from a graduate level research methods class. This book is very easy to read and was a great supplement. I recommend this as a teaching supplement or for the student who wants to make sure they are prepared to move forward with research.

I took Business Research Methods and was having a very hard time in the class because our textbook was so advanced. This book gave me the basics so that I could then go back to the textbook and understand what it was saying. This book earned me an A in the class!

I should make it clear from the start that this review is in relation to the Kindle version.The currently available Kindle version of this text does not provide page numbers, only the standard location bar. For an academic text, that seems like a huge oversight; it is an incredible challenge to find that page(s) my professor references or assigns. Same can be said for when I need to cite a particular section...without page numbers, I have a problem.The text itself is quite fine, I'd rate it at 4+ stars; if you need this for a course, though, avoid the Kindle version.
