Not a big techno thriller readers but this one captured my attention or some reason, maybe because it was shared on a book blog I enjoy and find many great reads on. This one was just the right amount of tech and thrills to keep me entertained. The book wasn't too long which was nice for me going to pick up the next one now.
The attempt by Ben, a company CEO to play amateur detective goes terribly wrong and puts lives
In this exciting first book of the series Dan the CEO of a cyber security company based in England thinks there's a drug problem with his employees. In trying to investigate the problem he turns to his protege Max to help him as he bumbles along. But Max has a secret that could help Ben but could kill him, as Dan continues his investigation into Sniff the suspected local dealer Dan's business partner Spray is less worried about the drug use as long as the work's being done. Because of Dan his girlfriend Jo ends up in court facing charges that could see her in jail for a very long time in this very entertaining and very exciting first episode in the Max series.
A bit of entertaining fun!
Good people with faults, fears and foibles not always behaving within the law but with good mostly conquering over evil.
Kept me on the edge of my seat
Bought this because it was recommended by a friend. Wasn't quite sure what to expect but after a few pages it really gripped me and I couldn't put it down. I ended up reading the whole thing in a day over Christmas.It's been a long time since a book got me like that. Excellent plot and great attention to detail. Plus a running sardonic commentary on the state of the UK that brought repeated smiles to my face. To quote the author, "Arf arf!"Congratulations! A great first novel and brilliant read.

I enjoyed this quirky tale. Some interesting characters and a good plot. I found this a nice easy read and at times quite funny
Everything you look for in a thriller!
A slow burn through excellent detailed character building plenty of whom we all recognise at work, home socially or communally, it builds to a brilliant plot with enough twists to keep you turning the pages, brilliantly written, I look forward to another by the author.
