Great info and practices in this book. Everything from how to build and maintain a fire, to breaking down game and gathering from the forest. Read it all the way through and already changed how I do things in a few areas and see a huge difference in saving resources.

Probably one of the best game cookbooks out there and I’ve read them all. From sourcing to butchery, fires and recipes. Well done and nicely photographed.

I really like this book, easy to read and good images to match... It's a not a vegan friendly book, designed for those who like proper game/bushcraft.

I was amazed to find such rich content about, foraging, fire craft, butchery, wood and much more! Cooking is just one part of the content on this book. The author takes us into a delightful and easy reading journey to understand how our ancestral dealt with food having little resources; how fire changed the way they cooked; the way we lived and evolute as humans beings. And on the top of that, it amplifies your culinary knowledge while bringing you back to the core of our existence, the nature.
A good book that is very different to any other cooking books.

I had the pleasure of a visit last year, and left feeling hugely inspired, this book takes this to a whole new level.Nick is infectious with his enthusiasm and passion. There's something here for everyone.Beautiful design and photographed, this has pride of place on my bookshelf.
