5.0 out of 5 stars A Fun Twist to the Fairy Tale!
My six-year-old granddaughter loves the “How to Catch a … “ book series, so when I came across several holiday titles this year, I couldn’t resist purchasing them for our library. Consistent with previous books that we have purchased, “How to Catch a Gingerbread Man” follows along on a fun twist to the age-old fairytale about the misadventures of a Gingerbread Man fleeing from children at a library during story time. The illustrations are bright and colorful, and will easily capture a child’s imagination. And the story — told in a familiar rhyming pattern — is printed in an easy-to-read font that even early readers will be able to follow along without difficulty. I also appreciate the multicultural representation of the children in this book. All of the titles in this book series are well-made hardback storybooks that can last many years, if cared for properly. A great value for any child’s library!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Book for a Gingerbread Man Tradition
I purchased this book last year to read to my little nieces (ages 6 and 8) during our annual pre-Christmas craft and bake day. Every year, we decorate a gingerbread man, put him in the oven, and while my teenager reads a Gingerbread Man story, I secretly sneak the cookie out and hide him. I add brown paper “crumb” circles along the walls and floors to guide the girls on their search.I first started this tradition with my kindergarten students, then continued it with my own children, and now with my nieces. It has become such a special memory that everyone talks about fondly. This past year, we used this book to entertain the girls while the gingerbread man was “baking.” It was absolutely perfect—so cute, engaging, and exactly about catching a gingerbread man. The girls loved it, and I was thrilled to find a book that fit our tradition so well.
5.0 out of 5 stars Nice gift for young reader

I bought fror a 3 yr to “read” to her new baby sister- so some imagination will be involved…(fabric books tho a real fav for the little ones…)
5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining book
This is a fun read. Some of the rhymes are questionable haha but the kids enjoy reading it and all the mischief the gingerbread man causes.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for age 6-7 and gets a few bonus kid giggles
Perfect for 6-7 year old readers. I purchased this for my 6 yr old granddaughter whose reading skills are at the 98% level for grade, and she does well with it. The story itself is engaging for a kid that age and she thought it to be quite humorous. Overall, it's a win, as are all of the books in this collection.

English book for kids
Una storia interamente in inglese molto divertente per bambini
A great book for children
This book is about a visit to a library where the library lady starts to read to children about the Gingerman when he jumps out of the book and the children chase him to get him back into the book. During the chase they meet a lot of storybook characters such as the ones they can meet in a library book. Great fun!
Children loved the storyline and pictures.

Ok book
It was OK book, I loved more the ideas, the rhymes and the story a bit rushed... you can tell it's becoming a spin off for selling more books. I would not purchase other books in these series. The kids enjoyed the illustrations.
