5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for those who love the feel of a textbook
An excellent hardcopy of the free OpenStax textbook. It's perfect for those wishing to have the classic textbook feel or if you can't stand digital highlighting like me. It's study and well-made.The only downside is the weight - it's the full book, so it weighs a ton. I don't take it to class, but use it to read and reference and home.

Using this for AP orgchem

Even though chemistry isn’t one of my strong suits, I rated it a 3 out of 5, but I had a hard time deciding how to rate this book though.I thought I would learn about organic chemistry with the understanding, being organic chemistry about life and not about the labs. I know, after reading more about organic chemistry and what it is, it is mainly about the labs and not life. This is my fault though.The first several chapters were explaining the basics and they were good reading. Then the author mentions some organic chemicals, mostly in the lab, without explaining what they were. The last half of the book, there were a lot more organic chemicals, very long ones for the lab, without explaining much about them.I learned some, but after a while, my brain wore out and I decided to skip some sections in the book.There were some parts of the book that were excellent. The “Chemistry Matters” at the end of each chapter was very enlightening.So, I rate this book a 3 out of 5.
