We got this to use at dinner time, it's good for the whole family (5, 9, and two adults). Brief devotion with good discussion points, helps to add to our conversations!

I read this with my 7 year old in the morning. I like the easy to understand concepts, prayers, and challenges that are included. I feel like this is a great way to help kids hear and learn Bible verses, think about biblical ideas, and spend quality time together.

If you are looking for a book to do with your young kids, I think this is a little too advanced. We do it at dinner with my 3 kids ages 2, 4, and 10. The 10 year old gets the content and enjoys it. The 4 year old is hit or miss depending on the night and the 2 year old doesn’t have a clue. The lessons are applicable to young and old alike and it has been a great way for us to dive into a devotional as a family that doesn’t take too long since we have young children.

This devotional is the perfect beginner devotional for our family. My children are pretty well versed in the popular kids Bible stories, but we haven’t really delved into the Word and talked about how to apply those stories to our lives. This devotional does that. It’s a great tool for teaching your kids about reading and using God’s word. It has opened up age appropriate conversations about the Lord and His Word. I also like that each lesson is short. Kids have short attention spans and it is just the right length for their young minds.

We have been reading this book nightly with our 4 year old son. He requests to read it every night before bed. I love that it is a simple and quick read due to little ones and their short attention span but it includes a good lesson each day. At the end of each lesson it has either a prayer, discussion or activity which is nice because it has variety.

We purchased it to devotionals as a family. We read the whole chapter that it talks about. It helps my kids dig deapper in the word. Love that it has a little prayer or activity at the end.

Not the best for families with kids younger than 8yrs old. But otherwise a good devotional after supper.
