Marvel Anatomy is a stunning book. The descriptions flow, get into charming details, and are fun to read. The art ... will take your breath away. This is a book you’ll want to show off to your friends, whether they’re serious comic book readers and MCU fans, or they’ve never heard of the Hulk. The book is an absolute treat. Full disclosure I have met the artist in person and I've followed his work for years. My reaction to the preorder announcement for this book was to say "of course," and "at last!" Jonah's ability to create and convey realistic anatomy for the most fantastical of characters is one of his superpowers as an artist. (M.O.D.O.K. and Jocasta are two of my favorites so far). The character’s faces in particular are drawn here such that they are immediately identifiable, but presented with a rare dose of humanity and a very welcome individualization that we see in only the best comic book work. Expressions on characters such as Namor, Scott Summers, and Jean Gray show a real understanding of the characters’ personalities and bring our their essence. If you’re a fan of Marvel’s incredible stable of characters, you’ll find them presented here with detailed anatomy, cutaways, and mind-blowing illustrations of key items such as Spidey’s web-shooters. This is a fun book that will be a welcome addition to any collection or coffee table, and it will make an awesome gift for any Marvel fan.

First and foremost, the book itself is breath-taking. Any fan of comics, especially fans of Marvel comics, will truly appreciate the time and dedication that was spent to create this book. From the colorful-yet-anatomically-correct renditions of these characters from a molecular level to their life-like features, no details were spared in bringing these fictional characters to life. The breadth of work in this book is astounding; the illustrator, Jonah Lobe, has created everything from amazing 2D sketches to incredibly detailed 3D video game creations. The dedication Lobe has put into this book shows he is a true Marvel fan.Next is the work of Marc Sumerak and Daniel Wallace. Reading the book from cover to cover, carefully analyzing each word and how they relate to the character at hand reflects a unique take and collaboration that Marvel fans will appreciate. Each character is carefully analyzed and explained in such detail that fans both new and old will appreciate. If you grew up with the comics or the movies, it doesn’t matter because the lore, history, and the very being of each character is tactfully illustrated and plotted out in a way that brings out the characters to their fullest.I hope there is a sequel to this book, as I am eager to read and explore more of Marvel's characters on an anatomical level.

Great book quality. Its also a very large book so you get plenty of room to see the beautiful art in this book and absolutely awesome muscle framework, as well as a lot of very cool suit makeup and genetic makeup. The author most definitely knew that everybody would be very interested in the pages on Wolverine and the mutants, and they did not disappoint. Many visuals for Wolverine and a lot of awesomeness for all the Uncanny X-Men. Very interesting book and absolutely awesome explanations for the pseudoscience described in marvel. Phenomenal book!

It’s an interesting read! Love the art and the information. Some of the information is inaccurate, but it is written from the perspective of T’Challa, so you can infer that the ‘incorrect’ information is speculation. A bit bummed that some of my personal favorites aren’t included (Doom, Prof X) but overall very good and fun to read! Would highly recommend. I do wish the listing had shown the list of who was shown in the book, though.

Había visto imágenes promocionales de este libro hace unos meses de este libro y siempre había querido comprarlo, hasta que llegó el día de hoy.Sólo le he dado una hojeada rápida para ver qué tal está y WOOOOW!!!, está increíble. Literalmente, ni siquiera soy fanático de Marvel y aún así me encantó; sí, me gusta Marvel y uno que otro de sus personajes pero este libro ha despertado mi curiosidad absoluta por conocer más acerca de sus personajes.De cierta forma es interesante el intentar ver qué explicación física (aunque irreal hasta cierto punto) le intentan dar a todos y cada uno de los personajes ya que aunque lo compré únicamente para ver la de unos cuántos personajes, la atención al detalle, el color, los dibujos y todo del libro en sí hizo que con sólo una pequeña hojeada deseara leer la explicación de todos y cada uno de los personajes de Marvel aquí mostrados 🕷️⚡🕸️.

I have not opened the actual book as it’s going to be a gift for Christmas BUT, it looks absolutely STUNNING. The delivery came quicker than expected and was packaged well. I’m so excited to gift this!Edit: my fiancé has opened the book and it’s stunning. The artwork is incredible and he’s enjoying reading thru the pages. This is a great display book for your reading room or just a great illustrative piece to feast your eyes on
