Ginger Swift is a pen name for the creative team at Cottage Door Press. We use a name like this when we work together on a story. We choose a name that stands for "red bird," which is our cheerful little mascot.

This adorable board book is perfect for little explorers! With sturdy flaps to lift on every page, toddlers will love discovering the hidden creatures lurking amongst the trees. The vibrant illustrations are engaging and the simple text is easy for little ones to follow. "Babies in the Forest" is a wonderful way to introduce your child to the wonders of nature and encourage their curiosity.

This book is so sturdy! The interior flaps are sturdy as well! My 11 month old was immediately drawn to the art and colors! The cardboard itself, is strong too and has withstood the inevitable knawing that infants do to books! I plan to buy all the books from this author and collection! Would make a great addition to a baby shower basket too. The art is beautiful and the story itself is very sweet and simple!

Easy open flaps, cute story.
A regular book we read. Bought it for her as a baby but my now toodler still loves to open the thick flaps. Easy to open because there is a gap around the flap so she can do it herself. Thick pages. Cute art work and story. Bought one as a gift for someone else too. Bought the Babies in the Ocean one as well. Seems like a nice line of books.
Could be better
I bought this book for my 9 months old who is very much into books with flaps. Unfortunately the images in this book are too small for the baby to focus on what is hidden behind the flaps. The pictures themselves are of muted coloured animals on a muted coloured background, so the characters just don't stand out. This book might be better suited for a two year old. Otherwise it seems quite solid and sturdy.
Beautiful little book
This is a gorgeous little book, the illustrations are ver nice and the flaps keep baby interested and engaged. I will likely repurchase as a gift for my friend’s baby and I would recommend it to other parents.

Pro:Very thick have no worries about my 10 month old tearing the flaps.Cons:The "story" doesn't flow at all the wording is VERY strange.
