Holly Berry-Byrd just loves Christmas time! And so do the writers and designers at Cottage Door Press. Holly Berry-Byrd is the name we use when we all create a Christmas book together. It (sort of) means Red Bird – like our cheery little mascot. When Holly isn’t writing Christmas books, she enjoys baking gingerbread houses, knitting reindeer booties, and listening to vintage vinyl Christmas LPs.

My kids love music, push button books, and Christmas stuff right now so this was perfect! We have the Night time Lullaby and the Campfire Songs books from this collection so when I saw the Christmas one, I knew I had to get it! This Christmas one is probably my favorite so far out of this series!What I love about it:The songs aren't too short nor too long; perfect for bedtime stories. The music is good and not too loud or annoying. I appreciate the amount of songs too! I love that it includes the classics! This is a great way to help kids learn the songs, learn about tempo and staying on beat, and it also helps them improve their reading! The illustrations are cute too and go along with the songs. I like that it is a board book format so my little one doesn't rip pages when turning them. I also appreciate it that you can replace the batteries! I can't stand books that make sound but then there is no way to replace the batteries. Most now allow you to replace batteries but some still don't so I thought I would mention that.What could be improved:Maybe a few of the songs could have been a little longer, but it also is just fine the way it is.Recommend for:Ages 0+ my Grandma enjoyed singing this with usFamily TimeStory TimeCaroling around the treeQuiet time books- I know that seems weird to suggest, but I like to give my older ones books that peak their curiosity or they enjoy during their quiet time to encourage them to look at books on their own. I don't mind if they have sounds because in our house, quiet time doesn't mean everything has to be quiet, it's just a way to have time on their own where they rest, look at books, do puzzles, or build things.Gift to childrenShipping:Shipped in a timely manner. The media could not be loaded. Comes with batteries 🔋 in place & they will be easy to change. These books aren’t always easy to find so I’m very satisfied with it. Music sounds clear- but it is babyish - see video.Perfect for our 2 year old granddaughter.The cover is nice and has raised areas giving it a nice flair. ✨Love the song choices!Nice that it’s instrumental so they can sing with you and learn to read and sing.I gave it 5 stars bc I look for these every year and I think this one is very well done. 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Every year I do a Christmas book sack for my girls and wrap a few new Christmas books for them to open leading up to Christmas. I found this one and the girls really loved it. The book plays 10 traditional Christmas melodies that correspond to a page of lyrics within the book. Some of the songs include "Away in a Manger," "Joy to the World," and "Jingle Bells" to name a few. The melodies play smoothly and clearly and it's fun to follow along singing to the melody. The only downside is that I wish it sang the lyrics as well because it's hard for younger ones to follow along. Overall, a beautifully illustrated book of Christmas favorites.

I purchased this for my 2-turning-3 year old daughter a few weeks ago. My daughter loves books and music and loves to sing. She LOVES this book, as it combines all three. She likes it so much that we can actually use it for a reinforcement for encouraging behaviors we want to see. The songs are easy to sing along with. Because of the familiarity of the songs, the book encourages a lot of interaction in our family. We usually end up with everyone singing, and she loves being the one to hold the book and choose the songs. She quickly picked up on the music button matching the picture at the top of the each page. This book could get tiring if kept out all year, but I think we will tuck it away from mid-January until sometime in November. I think my daughter will like it for a few more years, as the songs become more familiar to her, and then as she begins to read, so at least holding her interest every Christmas until age 5 or 6 (or longer). I highly recommend this book (and the family interaction that can go along with it). :)

This book has become a solid tradition for my kid and me over the years. Got it when he was one and still reading it at age 5. Living abroad, it's especially helped teach the trad songs that are popular in the US.

I love the selection of music and the quality is good enough to hear the melody. However, there is no story and the words are only printed, not sung. I would prefer to hear the words for my grands to learn them.

My two grandsons (2 and 1 1/2) both play their books so much I had to get an extra one to keep at my house in case one of theirs breaks. These are the old classic songs and I have to say I love to hear them playing. The batteries last a long time but they are easy enough to replace when needed.

Love this book! Ten nice and joyful Christmas songs for the kids to sing along! Of course, the quality of the sound isn’t the best, but considering that this is a book and not a CD or DVD, that’s absolutely fine with me.We also have the bedtime songs book and we love them both! I can only recommend these books for your kids!

We received a second hand damaged book . First time we are having such an experience. Don't fool customers like this. We couldn't return it also.

My 2 year grandson who loves music loved this and quickly learned the songs. The music lasts for the whole of the song (not just an introduction as in some books similar to this). It's lovely for him to learn traditional Xmas carols, although the tune for 'Away in a Manger', was not the tune I know. He is still using the book and singing the songs. Great value.
