My daughter loves this lift a flap series. The pages are thick so they're easy for small hands to grip. And the sections where you lift the flaps are on there really good so we've never had to worry about them getting ripped off

My 6 year old has had this book since he was a baby, and he absolutely loves it. He says he wishes he could give it 100 stars! He’s now learning to read, and this was one of the first books he couldn’t wait to practice on!

My 16 month old was engaged by this book more than others in the same series. He is a pro at turning the flaps over. My son was impatient with the length of the rhymes at times but the images engaged him. I got these because my son needs to read books with more words per page and with more complex scenes - it builds literacy and discrimination skills. So it was for us an important developmental stage for an impatient little boy who just wants to flip pages really fast. My only complaint is that the flaps are all in the same direction unlike other books in the series... so it does not build dexterity and logic skills as much as it could have.

Small, chunky book good for small hands. Thick "flaps," much thicker (more like cardboard) than other lift-the-flap books, which is great for younger toddlers who grab, twist, rip, and pull. The story is adorable, about a little blue boat and all of the things seen/friends he has on the ocean. The rhymes are easy to read out loud and memorable, making for easy reading with a toddler who loves turning pages. The artwork is beautiful. Overall, great book!

The best
This book is the best among those four in this series, in terms of pictures and storyline.It is very sturdy. My daughter started to read it at 10 months old and the book is still in good shape after two months reading.The book size is perfect for baby small hands to hold and the groove is large enough for their little fingers to open the flap.The story is not too long or too short. Perfect length for young babies to keep interested as there are also flags to keep them busy. I own another book from this series, the little yellow bee, while my daughter still loves it, I would say this little blue boat’s storyline is better.
