5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring and important read!
I bought the audio version of this book and my spouse and I listened during our long road trip. I highly recommend this fascinating book to every American! The book is well written, interesting and educational. We learned so much that we did not know - from how presidential campaigns are run to the exhausting campaign schedules, to the media spin, to the behind-the scenes conversations, including those with campaign staff, close friends and family members and, surprisingly, between political opponents. As expected, Kamala was veracious when describing her thoughts, her feelings and her deep love for our Constitution, our country and all its people. Her belief in the rule of law and our democracy is most evident. Her profound intelligence and knowledge are displayed throughout.Trust me, you will laugh and you will cry. Oh, and you will scream OMG a few times!Even those who did not vote for her should read this book.
5.0 out of 5 stars Madam President
Kamala Harris delivers a straightforward, transparent, gut-wrenching, honest and explicit recount of her 107 days campaigning for the presidency of the United States of America. I am not a huge fan of politics and political games, but I was given an eye-opening understanding of what happened behind the scenes during the Trump versus Harris campaign. This narrative is exciting, thought provoking, disappointing, infuriating, funny, and ultimately devastating.Kamala Harris was underestimated and unsupported and still was able to pull off what no one thought she would be able to do. She was able to threaten Trump who won due to lies, misinformation, hatred, and relentless pandering.I do not want to spoil the book like so many reviews tend to do, so I will say that I encourage people to read the book and make a determination for themselves.Personally, I was devastated when Kamala did not win, and those sentiments have only amplified since the current administration took office. I know that after what Kamala Harris has been through. She may never want to run again however, if she does, without a doubt, she has my vote.Madam President would’ve had such a nice ring to it. I would’ve been so proud to be an American under your leadership. As a disabled veteran, this current administration has me exceedingly scared of what is to come, and we are not even a year into this nightmare.I also warned so many people what would happen if she were not elected, and all of those things and more are coming to pass every day. This nation is so divided and so hateful it’s truly heartbreaking. I can only imagine how beautiful this country would have been if Kamala had won.It is a very interesting read. I give it five out of five stars. I encourage everyone to uplift and share Kamala story she should be our Commander-In-Chief.
5.0 out of 5 stars Kamala Harris's "107 Days" Offers an Unprecedented Inside Look at Modern Campaigning
Vice President Kamala Harris's "107 Days" is a riveting, intimate chronicle that transcends typical political memoirs. Rather than a retrospective penned years after the fact, this book captures the raw urgency of one of the most compressed and consequential presidential campaigns in American history—from Joe Biden's July 21, 2024 announcement that he wouldn't seek reelection to Election Day on November 5, 2024.What Makes This Book Essential ReadingWhat sets "107 Days" apart is its immediacy and accessibility. Harris doesn't speak exclusively to political insiders or history buffs; she writes for anyone curious about what it truly takes to run for the highest office in the land. The book reads less like a dry political memoir and more like a page-turning novel, pulling readers into the controlled chaos of a presidential campaign.Behind the Curtain of Modern PoliticsHarris offers something rare in political literature: genuine transparency about the mechanics and emotions of campaigning. The logistical realities alone are eye-opening—the exhausting state-to-state travel schedules, the constant networking and team coordination, the strategy sessions that can shift on a dime based on breaking news or polling data. But Harris goes deeper, revealing the psychological toll of operating under relentless public scrutiny while managing the weight of democratic expectations. The debate preparation sequences are particularly compelling, showing the meticulous work that goes into those high-stakes moments that can define a campaign. Harris doesn't shy away from discussing the pressure, the self-doubt, and the resilience required to keep moving forward when the entire nation is watching.A Story of Leadership and ResilienceAt its core, "107 Days" is about more than winning or losing—it's about what public service demands and what leadership looks like in moments of crisis. Harris writes with candor about the emotional rollercoaster of the campaign: the triumphs that fuel you forward, the setbacks that test your resolve, and the private moments of reflection that rarely make headlines but shape every public decision.Who Should Read This BookWhile political enthusiasts will find plenty to analyze, this book's real strength is its universal appeal. Anyone interested in leadership, resilience under pressure, or the practical realities of pursuing ambitious goals will find value here. It's particularly valuable for those considering public service or simply curious about what happens behind the scenes of the political theater we witness from afar."107 Days" is essential reading for this moment in American history. Harris has created a document that is simultaneously a personal memoir, a campaign chronicle, and a testament to the demanding nature of democratic participation at the highest levels. Her voice is urgent without being melodramatic, intimate without being overly personal, and the pacing keeps you engaged from start to finish.Whether you're a political wonk or simply someone interested in understanding the human side of political campaigns, "107 Days" delivers an unfiltered, unprecedented look at what it takes to run for president in modern America. It's a must-read that reminds us that behind every campaign rally and debate performance are real people making impossible decisions under extraordinary pressure—and that democracy itself depends on their willingness to step into the arena.
