5.0 out of 5 stars An Essential PostPardum Guide for Every New Mama!
This book is an absolute treasure! I gave birth to my 4th baby recently. All of my postpardums have been magical and nourishing experiences. This one however was extra delightful as because of this book and Dhyanas wisdom it came with no digestive upset and extra delicious nourishment. I’ve been through several postpardums and never realized that digestion is low in immediate postpardum and ideally needs to be tended to with easily digestible foods that progressively get more complex as digestion returns to normal. The ayurvedic way addresses this so beautifully and Dhyana makes it very easy to understand and implement. I also LOVE Dhyanas simple yet wildly delicious recipes and her very thorough recommendations for postpardum body care. The cherry on the sundae? Dhyanas touching and deeply relatable poems to her babies. Thank you for this gem!
5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute treasure of a book!
Love love love this book! Such a gift to have this potent information all in one place. Highly recommend for parents or if you work in prenatal/postnatal field. Dhyana’s writing is blissfully wonderful and important. I wish every mother / parent could read this before during and after pregnancy/ birth.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book!
Everyone should read this book regardless of what phase of life they are at :)
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, excellent resource!
I'm an Ayurvedic Practitioner also working as a birth and postpartum doula. This book is SO wonderful. It's great to recommend to clients and also a great resource for Ayurvedic professionals who want to apply their knowledge to conception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. There is also a quality to Ms. Masla's writing... The spirit of Ayurveda comes through in a way that sets it apart from other holistic birth books. It's a really soulful, fantastic guide, and I'm so grateful for her writing it.
2.0 out of 5 stars I wanted to like it
I really wanted to like this book but find it very redundant and lacking information. I was hoping for advice on things like diet changes meditation etc. while it has a little of that it’s mostly just redundant non-helpful information.
5.0 out of 5 stars Informative and a beautiful read
I loved this book so much! I’m 30 weeks pregnant with my second baby and it came just in time. I’m loving all the helpful information, recipes, herbs and tonics for pregnancy and I’m excited to follow recommendations for postpartum as well. This book is also so beautifully written and makes it easy to understand Ayurveda for a beginner :)

A gem work for birth and postpartum window
This book is everything that one needs to know about birth, during birth, and postpartum window. I am so glad I got the paperback as it is super helpful! I read it twice, made notes, created my meal chart, added important sticky notes for myself. I have heard about postpartum window care practices here and there but this book gave me a more clearer version. Thank you so much for this wonderful book, Dhayna!I highly recommend expectant mothers to read this book if you are into holistic living. If you are not well aware of Ayurveda, you might struggle a bit to understand various ayurvedic concepts but Dhyana wrote this book with so much clarity that eventually you will find your way.
Informative and good book
Very good and informative book. It has mentioned all aspects, from spiritual, energetic to psychological and of course practical tips.I would say I am more of a practical person, so I really appreciated lists, recipes and all the practical tips. However, I did enjoy reading about the energetic or psychological aspects as well. Especially, I loved the author's personal home birth story - it touched me and gave me hope and trust 🤍I loved that it is made systematic. Author gives advices from ayurveda: little bit on nutrition adjustments, herbs, herbal preparations, movements and yoga poses, also some general tips for managing things and balancing yourself pospartum. It speaks about all stages: preconception, pregnancy, birth and postpartum. There are recipes in the end of the book, which I found very useful!I am a fan of ayurveda and natural lifestyle, so this book is my kind of book.
This book is pure nectar
Even as a doula, mother of five and ayurveda practitioner I am still learning so much from the beautiful and practical book. It’s going to be a staple recommendation for me for new mumma’s I can already tell. Highly recommended. Nectar for the soul.
A beautiful book
I wish every woman who wanted to conceive a baby could read this book. It is such a beautiful read starting from conception through to motherhood. I really love Dhyana’s work and all that she teaches with her nurturing Ayurvedic-led wisdom.
Would not recommend
Was a bit disappointed on the book. I liked the design and some helpful info I found inside. The thing I missed was the explanationson why she recommends something and why she is against some things. It is full of statements lacking the reasoning why.
