My father very much enjoys watching trains and learning facts and lore about them. Very shortly after I told him that the book was for him, he started looking at it. The next day, he was reading through it and commenting to me about trains he recognized. He likes watching YouTube videos of trains, especially live videos of the Strasburg Railroad trains. The Strasburg Railroad is only a day trip from where we live, and my father has made the trip there. He pointed out a picture of one of the Strasburg trains in the book. From all indications, the book was a big hit with him, which I was happy to see.

I rarely write reviews but we went through a few train books before we discovered this picturesque photo book of various global trains. My son is 3 and obsessed with anything 'trains'. He loves looking at train photos and I wanted to find a book that was not targeted at little kids as these tend to be illustrated and not as colourful. This book is a sure winner and keeps him quiet for at least 30 mins (horray) whilst he turns the pages in awe of these beautiful masterpieces.

This was a gift for a train buff. His comments were absolutely gorgeous photos and he raved about it being an interesting and detailed book. I was impressed by the amount of pages and the quality of the photos.

Stunning book with plenty of large photos
A 2 year old boy absolutely loves this book, opening it many times each day.Dozens and dozens of large train photos at different angles from different countries.Beautiful and educational
Great train book although not aimed at kids.
This is a wonderful book for train lovers.It has lots of pictures and features many train lines.If you are buying it for a child, just keep in mind descriptions are very wordy and it is aimed at an older audience.
