5.0 out of 5 stars Great book!
The media could not be loaded. My very first book of Arquitecture! It's for beginners. Easy to understand. Lot of pictures. Has a little of everything to give you an idea or a introduction of the carrer. Some history. I enjoy books like this.I'm happy with my purchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars Recommend Highly
Surprised by the quality of the book overall, especially the pages. The content is very informative.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good Reference book
Bought this for my grandson who is thinking about majoring in architecture so he wholu have a reference in how things are done.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very concise book
I was required to purchace this book for an architectural class in college. It has a lot of information right at your fingertips.
5.0 out of 5 stars Touches On All Elements of Architecture
I rarely review but I searched for a couple of hours for something that was easy to read, educational, and a summary that covered all elements of architecture. I received this book only yesterday so i haven’t read it, however I skimmed through it and am impressed by this. It is exactly what i was looking for. Covers everything I was wondering about, some sections look brief but that was what I was wanting. Anything i need to research more on i can go online, but this is good for getting a basic idea and understanding of all elements of architecture and building a home and it was exactly what I needed.
4.0 out of 5 stars Design architecture
Learn about architecture to draw want some things new
5.0 out of 5 stars Well Written
This is well written for a non-architect to understand and apply. An excellent addition to my library as I venture into real estate development
5.0 out of 5 stars Do yourself a favor and buy it
Are you an architect? A student perhaps? Are you outside the US? Your main language isn't English? Do you live in the Tropics or maybe in a non-developed country? Or maybe in a developed country? Well, guess what? It doesn't matter because this book is made for everyone to understand and learn something out of it. There's an insane amount of information in this book that is worth it. Combine this with something about Codes, Sustainable design and the Neufert book and you're good to go for a prelim design and i bet for construction phase too.
A beginners guide
This book is very general and broad, if you are looking for more detailed information and drawings then you may need another book. I think it should be called the quick reference book as it only touches on broad architectural topics but does not fully cover them.
Received a used and torn book
Not only a torn cover page but also used book and it is so apperant
Perfect for Students
Great information for all, especially for students that are getting the hang of learning everything about Architecture.
Had to write a QUICK FIRE review - WOW
Won't be an in depth review. Quickly bought it yesterday, came this afternoon no problems. The book size is excellent, i got it mainly for the sketching ideas on my IPad, but it has a TON of useful details in this and it has nice glossy pages and i have to say, its been put together excellently.I'm a UK structural Engineer by profession, and this definitely (even though its mostly imperial and the historic building info is american focus), it will have a place next to my Pocket book for structural engineering. The UK needs a more UK focused book like this and it will sell a huge amount of books. Every discipline would benefit from having a UK / Eurocode leaning book. That's two amazing books i have - both written by women. I see a trend :p
