Very good book. Teaches you about more than just step-by-step chibis. This book mentions enough color theory to get you started and even helps you pick out your shadow colors.They mostly talk about traditional techniques but can be converted to digital if you're a digital artist.They talk about how chibis are used in anime/ manga which is nice.There's an inspiration gallery that they encourage you to utilize, even in your own drawings.There's a trove of knowledge and I'm super satisfied. Even as an older, more experienced artist, I was able to learn new techniques and ideas.If you're buying this book for children, it will be teaching them art techniques they can carry with them forever! Possibly setting them up for more than just drawing chibis!Chibis are a great stepping stone into art. The anatomy is much simpler and the cuteness factor is a huge plus!Highly recommended!

This is a pretty cute book. I like how they teach you to draw accessories along with clothing pieces. I got this for one of my nieces and have enjoyed helping her draw from instructions in the book

We will be ordering more guides from the author in the future. I was worried when I went to look for "anime how to draw" but this is perfect for my younger child to learn to draw, MINUS the regular animie and Manga depictions of characters! Thanks!

Well written and illustrated book.My best guess is for age 8 if they like to draw, and on up, for teenagers and for adults.

This is very easy to follow for kids, teens, and adults. I’d recommend it for people over the age of ten or so, just because of the reading level (about 5th grade). I’ve been in the art field for years and even I found some great tips!
Perfect for beginners
Great for beginners, as it really goes into the basics and fundamentals, and guide you through step by step to draw your own chibis and and how. I’m just starting my Procreate journey but struggle a lot with drawing people, even chibis, so this is a godsend!

Wow. This book is PERFECT! This is exactly what i been looking for in a how to draw chibis book!Not only is the art work adorbs but it also has clear easy to follow instructions that are also super easy to modify so you can make the characters your own!I also want to applaud the author for including how to draw boys!!Also im so beyond happy this author included an actul picture on how to draw bat wings and didn’t just say “draw bat wings!”My only complaint is the book wasn’t longer cause i want more how to draw content from this author!! Please do another book!!
Super adorable and easy to follow
I absolutely adore this book.The drawings are all super cute and the step by step tutorials are really accessible to an adult complete beginner.Highly recommend.(I’m including a photo of my very first attempt with this book.)
