5.0 out of 5 stars Eye Opening -Amazing Book
I really recommend this book; it's a great read and something that has really helped me! This is a book that I'm going to keep on my book shelf to refer back to when my mind is running wild. It's a book I share with friends and family, but it's also a book I always get back. Just in case there's a need to remember some things...I know now that I don't have to solve every thought that comes to mind, and I definitely can't let the absurd thoughts ruin my day.I learned not to blame myself and not to get so obsessed with fixing everything. I learned to let go and not worry. My favorite part was "Our Inner Caretakers". All the ways we take care of ourselves. I can't ever be well if I don't understand what type of relationship I have with myself first.I love the whole idea of being content with your environment and being on your own side. We all have to take care of our minds!Thank you to the Author for an amazing book!
5.0 out of 5 stars In search of the larger more connected I
Fresh perspective on well-being in the face of ephemeral happiness and seemingly uncontrollable internal dialog — looking forward to today and tomorrow’s tea with my much loved monkey.

A very usable collection of wisdom and practices for letting your thoughts 'be' while you go about the all-important business of loving and believing in yourself.
5.0 out of 5 stars This book is one valuable insight after another.
This book has helped me so much. It uncovers critical insights that change how I perceive and understand the world. I will re-read it several times and keep it on my shelf forever.
5.0 out of 5 stars It really does help one understand how happiness isn't the best goal
This book has been an eye-opener for many internal questions and wrong ideas that I had about myself and my mind. It really does help one understand how happiness isn't the best goal, but well-being is, a well-being that is a permanent state of being and not just an ephemeral state of mind. A must read for Psychologists and everyone who is willing to become truly well and accomplish a self-conscious life.
1.0 out of 5 stars Confusing arguments
The author tries to bridge the gap between materialistic psychiatry and spiritual tradition and always ends up halfway to nowhere. In this book we can find real pearls of knowledge like treating the mind is important, but antidepressants do the real miracles or compassion is the most human thing we have, but it is nothing more than the activity of neurons in a part of the brain. The theory of a chemical imbalance in depression has long been called into question by several studies and I could even understand the passage on the subject of medication as a way to leave some hope to the most desperate, but when the final message is "you have the power to take care of you, but you can't because ultimately your brain is the boss" things get a little confused. Talk about spirituality or talk about the brain, mind over matter or matter over mind, you can't have both and still make any sense.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love it.
This book changed my perspective on the idea of happiness for the better. I have purchased multiple copies to give to my friends and family. This is the best "self help" book I've read to date. The author did a great job making it an enjoyable read as well.
5.0 out of 5 stars A guide to finding the better you.
