The title of this book contains "Diet". It should not have this word in it. This is a guide to how to make your own diet based on your own testing of how things effect you. The author tells the story of his life in a way that is easily relatable to yours self and explains metabolizm in a very easy to understand way yet is deep enough for a biochem major to be satisfied. This goes over almost every supplement, Food group and food additive you could find in 2017. He needs to do a 2nd edition. for those who wish to understand the reasons for obesity and learn the language this is a great starter book. Audio book is well narrated and pleasant to listen to. Be advised that the author sells health related products but to his credit they all do just as he describes in this book and the information is confirmed in many other books on the topic.Be advised low carb diets work but they are on or off. If you do low carb you will lose weight and if you eat carbs you will immediately gain it back. I lost 45 pounds and gained 20 back before I found that intermittent fasting and high quality carbs on special occasions was the answer to stay at a set weight. Holding that weight now for 5 years +/- 5 lbs. Thanks Dave for the great foundation to this journey!

Where to begin? Simply put Bulletproof has saved my life. 18 months ago, after years of emotional over eating and general destructive behavior around food, I was at my end with diets. I was sick, fat and nearly dead. Emotionally and physically. Nothing seemed to work for longer than a few weeks. Not even Atkins which was always my go to for a quick jump start. Then I was introduced to Bulletproof brand coffee by a friend. She said "ewww I would never put butter in my coffee, but the 'coffee is amazing' and my work provides. She was stoked, but all this did was stoke my curiosity. So I searched the term and found the Bulletproof Executive blog. The rest is history.I immediately ordered the coffee and MCT. now 18 months later I've lost 75 pounds and feel better than I ever remember feeling. The Bulletproof way of living has enabled me to get my life back. It's not just the effortless weight loss with no cravings and endless energy. This protocol will put your brain on fire!!! You'll be able to think clearly for the first time in years. Now I'm a positive, confident, emotionally strong person again. I'm forever indebted to Dave Asprey.As a side note I visited New Orleans during Thanksgiving 2013 with plans to paint the town. I had reservations at all the best eateries, but something happened on the way to fat town. Much to my surprise, Bulletproof coffee killed my cravings so much we ended canceling most of the reservations. I'd often go until 4 - 5PM or later without eating. I had no desire to eat benets, shrimp and grits, gumbo, you name it. That was a shocking experience.If you've ever struggled with weight gain, physical and mental pain and destructive behavior due to emotional stress you've found your manual. This book is the how to manual that I would have killed for when starting out. Jump at the chance and buy the book. Don't think about it, just do it. Don't let the 4-star review sound overly critical. Buy this book and use it. There is a lot of incredible information in this.I have followed Asprey's advice from his podcasts and other materials, and this book is 100% in line with that. I'm writing this review after having read the book to make certain there was nothing contradicting the "bulletproof diet" plan I was already on. Long story short, it's all here.The Good:Dave's diet plan does one thing incredibly well -- it highlights the critical need for GOOD FATS!!! Good fat like grass-fed butter, ghee, and coconut oil (as well as avocado) is absolutely necessary to good health of the mind and body.The "don't eat" list is pretty standard fare but accurate.Dave also breaks things down into very understandable terms and gives actionable advice. If you read copious amounts of cutting-edge health info, Dave's work is on-target and a much needed contribution. The more this info gets out there, the better. Dave would probably be the first to say he isn't the peddler of anything unique other than perhaps the coffee (I'd heard of using coconut oil in coffee pre-Dave, but not butter), but he's making the information more accessible and deserves to be lauded for that.The Not-so-AwesomeThe diet may be bulletproof, but it isn't a silver bullet (because no such thing exists). I would appreciate a section called "If this diet doesn't work for you, then...". Dave's advice regarding proper fats will correct most hormonal issues long-term, but there will be some people for whom this will not work or who will not have it work as well as it could. Finding a good endocrinologist may be necessary for you if you aren't getting good results. Especially if you are a female -- guys get a genetic leg-up with our hormones, and while it's not fair, if this plan doesn't work for you, it's a pretty good indicator you have something going on with what is to me the most complicated part of human machinery.There's nothing "bad" in here. The book is a great sales funnel for Dave's supplements and coffee, and that is NOT a bad thing. I'm all for cross-marketing. The only "meh" thought I have regarding this is that Dave's prices on the supplements this book will lead you to are a bit steeper than I suspect are necessary. The cost of most of his supplements are prohibitive for guys and gals starting from zero.That said, Dave's work of pointing me in a different direction (especially in light hacking!) has had a very positive effect on my life and health. He's quite deserving of being added to my list of effective biohackers/teachers like Tim Ferriss, David Perlmutter, and William Davis.Action = results, and the actions detailed in this book will have the amazing results advertised for most people.

Una guía completa para verte y sentirte mejor. Por varios meses estuve en Keto (la cual también es un estilo de vida increíble), pero me siento mejor con Bulletproof Diet. También fui vegetariano por unos meses y no se compara en nada los resultados que se obtienen en Bulletproof Diet. Se trata de probar tantas cosas como sea posible y quedarte con la que más te satisfaga.

C’est un très bon livre pour guider l’idée principale sur l’alimentation. Comme j’ai déjà mentionné dans les commentaires de ses autres livres - Le médecin fonctionnel en moi conseille aux femmes un peu plus de glucides. Mais les points principaux sont top. Même si vous implémentez seulement 1 de ses conseils vous allez voir la différence.

Utilizzavo il Bulletproof coffee da prima, dunque conoscevo già i benefici di questa bevanda, tuttavia leggendo il libro di Dave Asprey molte cose diventano più chiare, è un libro illuminante che consiglio a tutte le persone che vogliono migliorare la propria salute partendo dall'alimentazione, credo lo ordinerò anche in formato cartaceo
