I have been given this free resource and will use it in my classroom. I am always researching for STEM projects to enhance learning in my classroom.

Good to have as a resource. Have only used it once so far (project in progress, so will see how the students do with it). Some clever projects though.

I think this book is great for learning about earth and space. I think it's great, and so do my kids. I like how it teaches them about geology and astronomy.

Every single "lab" activity was 1. Tell students to write a two page essay on the topic. 2. Tell the students to design a lab based on the topic.Gee thanks for all the great ideas. I'm furious at the nerve of the publisher and seeking a refund.

If you are looking for a book full of lab ideas that includes real-classroom helpful teaching tips, suggested procedures, how-to-get-started and really do this lab type information -- this is not it. About 75% of the material on each page is identical, giving the steps of the scientific method, teacher strategies & evaluation criteria that is exactly the same verbatim for each lab. There's maybe a couple sentences of introduction for each "lab" idea and a few suggested materials but other than that you are expected to let the students come up with the procedure and add in materials as they like, with zero tips to the teacher about where students would even begin figuring out how to do these challenges. While I love to incorporate student-led investigations, this book only gives the challenge and nothing else helpful to the teacher or the student. I'm giving two stars because some of the challenges are at least interesting.

This has very few labs, loads of STEM forms, and lacks substance. Most of the activities are for research and sit-in-your seat work, something that shows a lack of hands-on experiments and constructions. Not very enjoyable for students. Very disappointed.
