I buy maps to be able to choose my route and the see where I've been. This map doesn't have much information and what's there is difficult to see. I already have a cellphone with useless maps.

Since I knew from the description that I was getting a map of just half the state (which is what I wanted), I expected commensurate detail and magnified size. Instead, the usable part of this map is like a Rand McNally–style page, with a size so small that many roads are unnumbered on the map. The rest of the "map" (one whole side and some of the other) is filled with general tourist-guidebook advice that I'm sure very few buyers will actually use. Look elsewhere if you're looking for a big and useful map of the region.
Good size and detail
Our son has just moved from Alaska to Arcata in Northern California. This map has made it easy to see where everything is in this State and will help when we go visit.

Slightly bigger and therefore even better.
Don't bother!
Really small detail, very hard to read and useless for anything other than general reference. I bought this to help plan a motorcycle tour but the smaller roads and places aren't even shown. Waste of money!
A poor choice
This map is small and poorly detailed - pretty useless for anyone who is planning to get off the major highways. On the reverse is lots of generic description of the major cities, the kind of tourist information that you can get easily off the Internet. Not recommended for drivers.
