Review:

5.0 out of 5 stars Great daily dose of science.

K.C. · September 13, 2020

This is a great book. It’s engaging and each day is pretty short. It has vocabulary words with definitions and is a good daily dose of science. We are homeschool this year and it’s nice to have a bit of a structured guide telling us where about we should be day by day. If that makes sense. Some days are easy and some harder. Somethings my son knows some he doesn’t. This has also helped to get him interested in other things. I try to switch up science but often end up going back to the solar system so finding some different topics my son wants to learn about is really good.

5.0 out of 5 stars 💯❤️

Love the resource

5.0 out of 5 stars I like it and my son's been doing it.

M.J.o.C. · April 24, 2012

I like it cuz it gets to the point what you need to learn cuz at this level of science it shouldn't go into too much details that the kids will bored or tired. It gets to the point and easy for kids to remember what they learned. My son usualy do from 3 days to 5 days each one day. When he is done, I will get him Daily science for Grade 4. I bought this book cuz there isn't enough time in public schools to each all that you need to know in elementary schools. This is good supplemental material without boring the kids . This is an expensive way for your kids to learn at home, but your kids need to want to learn. My son is advance and this is easy for him to do ,but he is learning about science. He never need any help with it and understand exactly what is taught. But it does get expensive cuz I have 2 other kids which I will be buying more Evan Moor workbooks. I am all for education.

4.0 out of 5 stars A little easy for 3rd grade, but good overall!

S.B. · December 9, 2021

I like that I am guided on how to supplement each lesson, and that each week is a new lesson. The days are very light on content though. As in my super procrastinating son can get his page done in under 3 -5 minutes. So the content is too light and too easy. But the other option I found (Spectrum Science) is too advanced for his level.Overall good for reluctant learners.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great format for science, and very well written, and easy to understand

This is our second book that we have ordered in this series and format. My special-needs teen does well with it with the highlights and additional information, we rarely have to use a second source to add to our lesson.

I purchased this for my 3rd grade homeschooled son. We started the year using a popular christian science curriculum as we had the previous year. By half way through it was just too much on one topic and he really wanted to branch out into a variety of science topics. This book came highly recommended by a friend and after reading the description I thought it might be just what we were looking for. The book is well made and has great instructions. Each day there is a short reading passage, a few vocabulary words, and then some questions. It is just enough to keep his interest but not too much that it takes up a large chunk of our day. Already he has asked to work ahead when he gets excited about the topic. We use it in book form but it does have perforated pages if someone wanted to tear out the daily sheet. There are 6 'big ideas' that are then broken down into weekly subset topics. The main ideas covered are living thing adaptations, plants, fossils, air, light, and electricity. This book has been a big hit for student and teacher alike!

5.0 out of 5 stars This workbook is amazing ! My Dyslexic kid loves it.
