5.0 out of 5 stars Learning to hire high performers!
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I just finished reading 'Motivation Based Interviewing' by Carol Quinn. It is an excellent book. Pleasant to read and walks you the process of understaning top performers, identifying and hiring them. I hope to see soon a book writen by Carol on "How to retain your high performers, before it is too late"
5.0 out of 5 stars Great read for Talent Acquisition recruiters
Great book! I have heard Ms. Quinn several times at HR seminars and she is great. This is a must read book for anyone in talent acquisition.
5.0 out of 5 stars Game Changing!
Excellent and informative read. This book gets you thinking in a completely new and different way on interviewing. Should be a required read for any one who conducts interviews!
4.0 out of 5 stars Good read. Got many good ideas to improve interview ...
Good read. Got many good ideas to improve interview process. Also gave more insight into what employers are looking for.
5.0 out of 5 stars Everything you didn't know you needed to know about interviewing.
This book addresses the reality that the way we interview simply does not work and proposes a "new" method for addressing this perennial HR issue. It's rare that I would tear through an HR text as I did with this one. It is light funny and frequently reinforces the core concepts from start to finish.
5.0 out of 5 stars Revolutionize the way you hire
Fantastic book. Now having the rest of the team read it and we will be implementing the method.
5.0 out of 5 stars Every Hiring Manager Should Read This
This is a quick read. I got through it in a few hours. Critical chapters for me were 3, 4, and 7 through to the end.I can't recommend this enough. I have been implementing the method with my entire team and the quality of hires is on the rise.
5.0 out of 5 stars MBI takes it to the next level
This book was recommended by Lee Cockerell. I can definitely see how it changed his hiring. I look at the high performers and low performers and see the common thread. Internal motivation and passion trump skill set every time. Combined with great skills and youve got that rockstar. Thanks Carol.
Simple to read and straight forward
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } This book provides a great insight into getting recruitment right
Calidad media
El material de la portada y la calidad de las hojas no es la mejor. Pero lo importante es el contenido.
Fascinating
An interesting take on some very common interview questions. In my professional experience, I have seen very few ‘trained’ interviewers, but many self proclaimed experts. If there were a curriculum for interviewing, this book would be amongst them.
one page extended to a complete book
i know those kind of books could be summarized in couple of pages. however this book is extreme. some chapters really only have 1 essential sentence … but the questions and the approach is great and as far as i tried it it worked out
