5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic book!
Great book! Simple but important message - so helpful with my 5 year old in normalizing occasional worries and identifying positive ways to deal with them (like talking about them with others rather than trying to ignore as they get bigger)!
5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful read
My 9 yr old dtr struggles with a lot of anxiety and separation. I bought this based on reviews. This is such a lovely well written story. Focuses on how Ruby’s worry follows her around and gets larger especially if she ignores it. (That’s the part my dtr really related to) and Ruby friends a friend with a worry as well. Once they talk about it it gets smaller. I’m really glad I got this book. We still talk about it especially at school drop off when that’s really difficult for her. Since we read it often and we talk about her anxieties, she’s slowly gotten better at separating. It’s a good read for any child with worries.
5.0 out of 5 stars Helpful
Helps children with talking about their anxiety.
5.0 out of 5 stars Age appropriate
My (almost) 4 year old started to get scared but the book got to the point in a sweet way. Very sweet book and helps open dialogue with small children
5.0 out of 5 stars loved this story
I was inspired by the illustrations, the value of the story in helping kids with worries, the diversity included with the book, Ruby’s natural hairstyle -yep, this book is a keeper!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars helpful book for children
I like this book when talking to children about worries or anxiety. Some books are too abstract for my taste--this one addresses the topic directly but in a child friendly way. Kids can read about Ruby who is dealing with worries while simultaneously thinking about their own. I have bought many books to help kids and some just sit on the shelf unused. This one, however, is one I pull down often.
4.0 out of 5 stars What a great lesson everyone can agree on.
Such a great book and a good lesson for everyone.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Little Message for Small Minds
I love the way this book introduces how to handle worries. Done with cute characters and pictures. Very age appropriate!
Great teaching tool.
Beautiful story to teach children about anxiety. Read to my own children and used in school during Mental Health Awareness Month. Can be used in K - 8.
Good for Children but the same as the original!
For UK buyers this is EXACTLY the same story as the original Ruby's Worry. The only difference is a few words due to this being an American book, such as cinema to movie theatre, cosy to cozy.
Great for anxiety
Taught my child what to do when they felt worried. Now they can state they can talk to someone if they're feeling worried to feel better and shrink their worries.
This book help my daughter
Helped my daughter overcome her social anxiety along with saying affirmations. So grateful for this book!!
Helps children understand "worry"
This book is a perfect way to explain to young children about what to do with a worry. We've ready it many times and use the sharing strategy it shares. Thanks!!
