About the Author

William G. Collins was born in Espanola, New Mexico August 28, 1965 while his parents, John and Lillie Collins, were there working. Six months later he moved with his proud parents back to their home in east Texas. William grew up in various east Texas towns such as Batson, Crocket, Livingston, Corrigan, and finally stayed in Lufkin, Texas long enough to graduate high school in 1983. In April of 1985 William enlisted in the US Air Force. His was first stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene Texas, after training. He stayed at Dyess for a little over two years then was transferred to Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, Louisiana for over seven years. During William's Air Force career he traveled to England, Iceland, Portuguese Islands, and numerous other bases in the continental United States supporting his airplane, a KC-135 in flight refueling aircraft. William supported several conflicts during his Air Force career such as Grenada and Desert Storm. He was awarded several decorations while in the Air Force such as the good conduct award four times, outstanding unit award twice, national defense service medal, non-commissioned officer education award, and a commendation medal for his distinguished service to his Nation. In October of 1994 he left the Air Force and returned home to Lufkin, Texas. Since 1995 William has worked for various companies in the construction industry as a Project Superintendent, Project Manager, a Division Manager, and Vice President over Construction on projects ranging from $1 million to $135 million dollars through out the United States. William has distinguished himself by receiving various coveted awards for projects he's managed such as the Texas Good Bricks Award, Texas Historical Society project of the year, corporate project of the year three times and employee of the year three times. Today William is a novelist that resides in east Texas who also makes fine cutlery for the outdoors in his custom knife shop. #wcknives #williamcollinsknives http: //www.wcknives.com
