I would like to start this review by saying that I am not much of a book collector or reader. I consider myself a major Cinephile who lives for Film. ‘Parasite’ was not only my favorite film of 2019, But one of my favorite films of all time. So instantly when I heard that Bong himself was releasing his storyboards in novel form I instantly pre ordered! And oh boy was it worth the wait.Having this beautiful bold and detailed book about of the best film ever made just brought so much joy to me. I have always been a fan of Bong and to finally have something like this is so important to have by any fan of His or film in general. This story board novel brings out a lot of detail that you can convey yourself that you may have not noticed before watching the film itself. As well as an important foreword piece written by Bong himself to the reader.What also came as a surprise is the book has Photo reels from the film itself as well as layout drawings of Important and certain Set pieces of the film. Again , This is a beautiful book that you can get so much out of after watching the Masterpiece that is ‘Parasite’.

Parasite is one of its kind film. Along with doing a lot of social commentary, it teIls a heart-touching yet highly engaging and entertaining story about an imperfect family trying to make some quick buck. This earned the movie oscar not only in best picture, but 3 other categories. This one is for all the fans. Especially for the ones who appreciate it's mesmerizing visuals and quirky making style. The fact that it's not just a graphic novel but a collection of story boards gives budding filmmakers the opportunity to learn so much from this. The quality of the print is also really good. I really wanna thank Mr. Bong Joon Ho for giving us this♥️

If you're a film buff or a visual artist that wants to delve into the mind of a creative genius, I would highly recommend purchasing this graphic novel. As a storyboard artist myself, I was fascinated with the in-depth execution of every scene in Parasite, so I took it upon myself to peruse through the book while watching the film. Every scene is executed as the sketches and notes highlight on every page. In this, you will also receive director insight and the minute details of what went into the making of this film.Absolutely worth the purchase!

It is great to see the entire film Parasite storyboarded in this book, it really shows the meticulous vision that the director and DOP had for the film.I also love reading the handwritten notes.It is great for appreciating the creative process and the decisions on how to visually tell this great story.

The storyboards and notes are expressive and fascinating. Bong Joon Ho's Forward is lovely and relatable.Even the cover of the book is beautiful.My rating is based on the book only.Unfortunately, it arrived with a few dark spots on the front cover and a slightly damaged spine. I had also ordered one as a gift sent to another location and that book also arrived with dark spots on a different part of the cover.

Wow. I already loved the "Parasite" film, but now I have an even better idea for how thoughtful a film maker Bong Joon Ho is! The story boards are gorgeous and really retells the story. I don'y know that I would go so far as to describe this as a traditional graphic novel, but it is 100% worth your time! I would highly recommend this book!
