Can't believe that the author went through every emotion I had and have. After reading chapter 3, Keep Your Mouth Shut, (I had to read it twice) I thought that I should buy this for all my friends. Then, when I finished it, I wanted all the daughter-in-laws to read it so they can see what a dilemma it is for us. The most important part is that we love them because they love our son. Thanks Margaret for writing this in such a succinct and humorous fashion. Perfect beach or airplane read.

I really enjoyed this book. Thank you for writing it. I do promise to take it to heart, oh dear, that may require drugs of some sort. Maybe we can have meetings like the AA people. Stories are important in our life, especially for women who are in the muck of family relationships, to see how we are not alone and how other women survive. Thank you again Margaret, for a book that really hits home to me.

M.O.M.S. was a needed story to tell in defense of mothers-in-laws. We have been painted as interfering,competing detractors of daughters-in-law when what we want is for our sons to be happily married. I for one loved to add daughters to our family as I am sure that Ms. West did. Her feelings matter.

Whenever we enter into a new passage in life, there can be mixed feelings. M. Margaret West addresses the “elephant in the room” in a brave, honest, and witty way. M.O.M.S is a great read, reminding the reader that she’s not alone.
