I started this study about 2 weeks ago. Job is a scary study. No one wants to go through everything he endured but the focus is finding joy in unpleasant circumstances. Jesus tells us we will have pain and sorrow but he can turn all of our mess into a message. Lisa Harper is very entertaining.

I have just completed week one of this Bible study by Lisa. I really enjoyed a previous study of hers. I follow along with the videos which help me feel more like I am in a Bible study since I am doing it on my own. I do write in my book and the pages are big enough to add lots of notes. I will say after this week one, my cover has already come off the binding, which I guess is okay because it was meant to get used. Lisa is so down to earth and really makes things understandable and at a good pace to go through this book of the Bible. She is a really good Bible study teacher and I would highly recommend this study. A story of unlikely joy is a great way to title this study on Job who suffered so much but looked to the Lord.

I am absolutely loving Lisa Harper’s study on the book of Job! She takes a very difficult book that most of us avoid, and brings it to life through all her wonderful personal stories. She has the gift of being an extraordinary teacher. She down plays her intellectual knowledge of the Bible and makes it so much easier for those of us that are new to the Bible to follow this heart wrenching story. I just want to say thank you to Lisa Harper, for listening to God and following the path He created just for you.

Great for everyone, especially women! Would've loved even more detailed analysis of Bible passages, but anecdotes and summaries were authentic and insightful.

This study is phenomenal. Lisa Harper has done it again! This study is deep but it's not unreasonable to complete week-to-week. I've done some studies where it feels overwhelming and like a daunting task each day, but not Lisa's. This study makes you crave more and want to work ahead. I couldn't wait to get to the next video session because it felt like I was listening to an old friend instead of being preached at. Sister can bring it!

It doesn’t tell you what you need!
I bought the book, and yes it’s a Bible study book but you need to watch the video with it! Not what I was looking for. It was useless to me!
