(Elephant & Piggie Like Reading!) and the illustrator of books including My Head Has a Bellyache (written by Chris Harris), Mr. Watson's Chickens (written by Jarrett Dapier), and the Kondo & Kezumi series (written by David Goodner). This book is a funny adaptation of Pop goes the weasel. Kids are going to have SO MUCH FUN reading it. The art work is adorable and hilarious. Strongly recommend.

Haven't heard my 5 year old laugh that loudly or that long in ages. We reread it quite a few times, and the surprise element of it still seemed to hold up.

This hilarious nursery rhyme mash-up is perfect for read alouds! If you are a parent who is tired of the same old rhymes, and if you are a kid who is "too old" for nursery rhymes or wants something new, here it is. A beginning of a rhyme interrupted by a weasel who pops in and upsets things! The text, strategic page turns, and illustration spreads keep readers laughing and on edge waiting for the next POP!

This book is a riotously fun read aloud! I read with first and second-graders; it was loud, interactive, and joyful (all while reinforcing rhyming)! I'm a huge fan of rhyming books with a twist, and my only concern is what to follow it up with this week. :)
