This is a beautifully done book by tone Finnanger. I love her designs and wonderful sense of colors and patters she uses in her designs. I own some of her previous works and have enjoyed them all. She puts together easily understood instructions for her pattern designs and the beautiful photos of the completed works encourages me to make my own. I enjoyed this book very much.

Delightful book. Fun to read, as well as useful for a doll maker. I would say previous experience with sewing is a help because some of the directions are vague or generalized, but the dolls are relatively easy. The patterns are classic and well designed so you can personalize them using more or less decoration, all sorts of fabrics and materials. One thing I could not figure out is the chicken's "thigh." We decided the author has never seen a real chicken and was using a sketch or cartoon to design the bird. I am very happy to have this book, and will probably purchase more by this author.

I love all the books in the Tilda series. They have all the patterns for the projects in the back of the books. I am also impressed with the fact that each book in the Tilda series contains such a variety of projects--everything from the dolls to slippers, cushions, quilts, flowers, stuffed animals,christmas stockings, bunting flags..enough stuff to keep one busy for the rest of your life!-a great book if you are planning a do-it-yourself party with homemade decorations and gifts for your guests!!!...love it!

I have purchased several of the TIlda books in the past and absolutely love her style and designs. I made five of her Scandinavian Santa's (from Tilda's Christmas Ideas) one year as Christmas gifts for my adult family members and they loved them. Can't wait to make some of the Fairy Tale Wonderland figures, especially "Bambi"! And the soldiers, nutcrackers, and ballerinas are one of a kind designs! If you like to sew and make stuffed dolls, animals, and decorations, you will not be disappointed with Tilda's books. There is something to enjoy in every book!

I don't but many craftbooks, when I see a title that caughts my attention I have to search for tons or reviews or previews to make sure it's something I'll use and that it isn't something I could find on the internet for free. This book didn't disapoint me. it's really beautiful to look at and the projects are absolutely stunning, a little intimidating maybe but tottaly makeable. There's a cute version of Pinochio, Bambi and the Steadfast soldier...love them all, I wish I had more time to make everything from this book...

This is a beautiful craft book with beautiful photography and projects. But, this is not for beginning sewers or crafters because there is a complete lack of proper instructional content for people who are new to doll making, in particular. There are several mislabeled patterns and unless you are at least at intermediate level, you could make a lot of mistakes.That said, for me, I love it. I will go as far as to say that this is even soothing as a book just to page through to simply admire the photos and originality of the projects.Because her materials are only sold in the U.K., you will have to be more creative in sourcing project materials. I happen to like changing the designs and using my own materials so that my pieces are unique so I wouldn’t purchase her materials even if they were available here, but I know some people only want to use the exact items. Just be aware before you buy the book that you won’t have access.Recommend for the intermediate to advanced crafter/sewer.

De superbes modèles , danseuses, pinochio ,des petits patrons pour faire des ours des lapins de 12 cm , des renards j'ai déja fini pinochio et plusieurs petits ours ma nièce est tres contente !.....Des photos magnifiques tout l'univers de Tone Finnanger à toutes les amatrices du genre foncez vous ne serez pas deçu un beau livre à garder. Par contre il est en anglais et mon mari (anglais ) n 'en peut plus que je lui demande de traduire certains passages du livre donc je viens de le commander mais en français cette fois ,livraison au mois d'octobre ...Avis !!.!
Se amate Tilda non potete non averlo!
Foto meravigliose, splendido libro anche solo da sfogliare.Tanti nuovi personaggi tratti dal mondo delle fiabe: un bellissimo Pinocchio, la principessa sul pisello, la ballerina e lo schiaccianoci....Consigliatissimo alle amanti delle bambole di pezza (brave a cucire...)
