This is a high-quality edition of a favorite, classic work. The paper is of excellent weight and feels good. The binding is top-notch, with a beautiful design and gilding. It's truly a volume to cherish.

I haven't had a chance to read the book but am sure I will enjoy it as it is a classic that has stood the test of time, unlike 90% of books published today. After a lifetime of reading I'm trying to fill the gaps in my collection of 7000 books with classics that I haven't had time to read. I wanted to rate the physical appearance of the book. This is definitely a beauty! I now read a book first from the library or in paperback form and if I enjoy it and feel I would reread it, I order it in a hardcover copy. But they don't make hardcover books like they used to. I have two Kindles but prefer an old fashioned book to hold in my hands. The first time I used a kindle while waiting for an appointment it died on me. A REAL book never does that! Another reader commented on another book saying she now prefers books from Peter Pauper Press. I researched the company and they have a reputation for binding and selling beautiful hardback books. If you only want a cheap read for the beach, this is not for you. But if you want a classy looking edition to grace your library this is a win. I only wish I could find more books by Peter Pauper Press.
