I love having the spiral bound book of psalms however I learned that if something heavy lands on the spiral, it makes it hard to turn the pages. Still, I prefer it over the glue bound books.

Many times, I choose to read Psalms in my daily devotionals and my prayer time. Having the Psalms in this journal book lets me use the blank pages for prayer requests, scripture thoughts, conversations with God, scripture references, and so on. These Scripture Journals are so versatile. Currently, I am doing a study on portions of Psalms, and I can use this journal to document my study notes. I think these journals are ideal for book studies. Of course, you would have a regular Bible or commentary open and maybe other books. But this would give you a place to keep your notes and organize your thoughts.The book has the text on the left page and the right page is blank for your journaling. So, there is plenty of space for notes on the Bible text. If you are a note-taker and regularly run out of space in your Bible, this could be a good alternative for you. Then, you can transfer only the relevant and important notes to your Bible.I know many people are digitally inclined now, even to keep journals and notes. One of the main reasons people went digital is space-saving. To be honest, this Psalms Journal book is as thick as some Bibles. So, handwriting has to be your thing to want to use this. I have a journaling Bible that has blank pages throughout the entire Bible. So, I find the Scripture Journal books are ideal and give me more liberty to take notes without feeling like it has to be a final copy, as I sometimes do in my Bible.I would recommend getting a Scripture Journal on a book of the Bible you are studying or especially enjoy reading. The only thing I would caution you on this one for Psalms is the size of it may mean it is for at home use only.

The media could not be loaded. I love how it has scripture on the left page and then a whole blank page to the right for notes. That was what I was looking for and is hard to find. Only three stars because I think the quality could be better. I’m not sure how well it is going to hold up long term. Also it came very damaged.

This Psalms journal contains all 150 psalms in the reputable ESV translation. The quality is nice. The pages are decently thick with slight ability to see the text on the other side of the page. The cover is like cardstock; it would be nice if it were plastic or a bit thicker, but this will work fine. I like the spiral binding, which is nice for laying flat..The Psalms journal is hefty and provides ample space for observations, notes, reflections, and/or prayers. I added a picture comparing the very-thin James journal with this one.Overall, this is a very nice journal. Definitely recommend.
