My husband is vision impaired and has difficulty reading. He wanted to be able to participate in church and Bible study and this Bible has extra large print so that he can follow along. The print takes up the whole page so there is no room to write on the side--so if you are looking for this, another Bible might be a better fit. It is quite large, as the print is so large. It also has a black page to put under the printed page to make it easier to read. Would recommend this Bible.

This is my current go-to. Font is very large and easy to read. I like this translation as it falls closer to a word-for-word format. One of the heaviest bibles I've ever owned.

This the largest print Bible I have ever seen. So, keep in mind - it's HEAVY! I purchased this for someone who is having issues with their sight, but unfortunately, it is too heavy for her to carry around. She just leaves it on the table next to her chair where she reads.

I read quite a few reviews before I decided to purchase The ESV Super Giant Print Bible. On several reviews, I read this was a huge Bible and has a very large readable font. What I can say is that I'm very truly impressed!Now, that I physically have my own ESV Super Giant Print Bible, I can truly say those positive reviews were right in detail. This is a very huge Bible, which has a very large 17 size font, and a nice weight. I also love the gold border paper edges, and the paper quality is great! Excellent colorful maps towards the back of the Bible! Nice Imitation leather bonding! Over 2500 pages! The Words of Christ are not in red. However, this is still far out one of the best Bible purchases I have ever made, and I am very pleased to own this true treasure. Thanks. :)))

I was trying to find large print and I usually use an IV but I wanted to move over to ESV.I haven’t started using this Bible yet, but I just opened it up just to see what it was like and I noticed that there is no red fluttering for when Jesus speaks. I’m not sure how I feel about this yet.

No need for glasses at all (at least for me). The pages are not so thin or transparent so the writing on the other side would incomodate reading. So I don't and won't need the black sheet added ot the Bible for enhanced readability. A little bit heavy but this is understandable given the amount of pages needed because of the super huge text. The only thing I would change is not the way this Bible is made but the writing "Palestine in the time of Jesus" on the maps. We all know from the text of the New Covenant that Israel was Israel at that time. Matt. 2:20-21. ... etc.

Love the super giant print ESV Bible! Timely delivery for a New Year present! Well packaged and arrived in excellent condition! Looks amazing in its Burgundy cover!
Almost perfect
Simply a very good Bible. But why 4 instead of 5 stars?I like paragraph style for several reasons. It's more natural to read, the Bible is more compact and the the text from the next page shows far less. I'll go into a little more detail because the above is exactly why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars.I find paragraph style more natural to read; but that's just a personal opinion.Text that has no paragraph style has more white. That means more pages are needed. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining this Bible is big and heavy because that is exactly how it was advertised. But even then I would have preferred less useless white. For me less white is one of the selling point for this Bible.2Chron is perfect. Long paragraphs with almost no useless white.But Proverbs is really bad. Half of the page is useless white.Bleed through from the next page is existing, but never distracting. It's not much and you can about halve it by using putting the black piece of cardboard that come with this Bible behind the page you are reading.Proverbs with its overuse of white appears far worse on the bleed through than 2Chron. Of course technically speaking it's 100% the same because it's the same paper and ink; but it simply looks different.So I think the ESV can save 100+ pages and make the otherwise perfect Bible lighter and better readable.I would like at least 3 ribbons instead of just one. Another niggle is that it has no thumb index. I'm not deducting a star for that because it wasn't advertised as such.Besides of that rant the paper and the binding is great. I only own this Bible for a week so I can't comment how it hold over time, but I have high hopes.The printing is also good. The font is big but you already knew that because that's likely the very reason you are considering this Bible. What stands out from some other Bibles I've seen is that the letters are really black. Not like they tried to save on ink and as a result get dark grey letters. That means more contrast and better readability.It opens very well and lays flat on your table or lap.

Perfect size for an older person withpoor eyesight. It is big: 7" x 10" x 2 1/4" and heavy. Works well in a stationary place.
