WRITER/EXPERT Chris Bickel has been an educator for more than 24 years in New Jersey. He is a former geography and U.S. history teacher and currently works as a supervisor of social studies. He is a National Geographic Certified Educator and has consulted with school districts around his state on best practice teaching strategies that help foster in students a deeper sense of stewardship and awe in the places we call home. He is the author of The Nest Seekers, an upper-elementary picture book on outdoor birding and human and environmental interaction.

Enjoy for children and seniors, anyone who prefers larger text and illustrations. Use to locate current events, places of birth, residences, travel (past , present, future), working with children teens, adults and seniors. Great for memory care work with dementia residents.

Well at least its keeping my daughter up on her school work. That way she can pass and someday many years from now she can get out in the world and get a job! And know where she's at!

Using as a study guide for world capitals and basic world geography. Nice little reference with good supplemental information (flags, topography, economics, culture), very compact. My only complaint it that I wish it were either a spiral or hardback, as the paperback is difficult to open flat.

My husband and I were searching for an online geography course. I wasn’t impressed with what we found and started researching books. Now, as my husband struggles with his online course, I’m having a delightful time with National Geographic’s Student World Atlas. Leave it National Geographic to present a very thorough, detailed, user friendly book packed with innumerable pictures.

Outstanding thematic Atlas
Amazing atlas...I am Geography teacher in international school ( IBDP/MYP/IGCSE and GIS specialist. I have multiple collections of Atlas. Quality of map and thematic maps are really amazing.I bought for.my son and recommend every student to have this Atlas.
Not Suitable for International Users
I am disappointed. I expected this to be a world atlas but it turns out to be one by the US and for the US. A lot of information are misinformation!
