I got this book as a birthday gift for my 4-year-old nephew, and he absolutely loves it! It’s packed with fascinating facts and vibrant, interactive images that really capture his attention.One of his favorite parts is the side-by-side comparisons of dinosaur sizes next to an average human; it makes everything feel so real and exciting. Bought for some dinosaur loving little boys. I’ve read it 20+ times now. Doesn’t give a ton of details but enough to keep a little kid interested. They have the phonetic pronunciations on each page which is exceptionally helpful. Nice illustrations too.

My three-year-old son has hit the dinosaur stage, so I bought this book to fulfill his curiosity about all the different dinosaurs. We have learned SO, SO much!! This book has the perfect mix of big, vibrant images, fun facts, detailed descriptions of dinosaurs and a very useful key on each page to help kids put the dinosaur's size into perspective and understand what each dinosaur ate, etc...Some very clever things we especially love:1) They've organized it by size. So, chapters are based on small dinosaurs, medium dinosaurs all the way up to gigantic dinosaurs. This is exactly how my son thinks. He wanted to go straight to the huge ones, but it really helped to have all of them in one section.2) The little key on each page often shows the dinosaur next to a human to show the size comparison. My son LOVES seeing that the dinosaurs could have "stepped on Dad" as he puts it It puts it all into perspective for a child.3) They have the pronunciation for each dinosaur on each page. THANK YOU!!! This is a life-saver. It helped me pronounce every dinosaur's name perfectly and teach them all to my son. And I love that at age 3, my son can now talk comfortably about Diplodocus and Brachiosaurus and even Mamenchisaurus. This is all thanks to this book!4) They include something unique and interesting about almost every dinosaur, so it makes it easy to remember them because of these fun little facts.We have a lot of dinosaur books, but this book is the only one that has created a bonding experience between my son and me, and truly educated both of us about dinosaurs. I recommend it again and again. It's phenomenal and it's so reasonably priced!!This would be wonderful for any child from age 3 to age 15. I love it as an adult.

The media could not be loaded. We love the national geographic books for little kids. Super engaging for my neurodivergent 4yo who loves to learn about each dinosaur and be able to name and recognize them. My 2yo loves it too. The pages are a tad flimsy, but we haven't had any rip out unless it's intentional. We've gotten a fair amount of these types of books from the library and they're all the same - flimsy but still mostly in tact. I added a video for a quick flip through.

Lots of color, big pictures, accurate dino facts. My little ones love it, it's a great engaging book! We're on our 4th read through of it and I know there will be many more to come.

This book is incredible. The pictures are so alive with color and detail. It teaches easy basics like what they eat. It also gives the opportunity to teach my young grandchildren to care for a “real” book. One that the pages will tear easily if you are not careful. So this book is always put on a shelf when we are done reading. It is a privilege to have such a good book. It creates a thrill when we read this book.

Amazing and fascinating book!!!
I bought it for my 6 years old kid - recently he became super crazy about dinosaurs after watching Dinosaurs Train - a web series on prime. After seeing his enthusiasm I thought of buying this.This book is so amazing!! He enjoys the book a lot, not only him even my wife and myself enjoy reading it for him.It has been designed so nicely - it fits best for kids right from 4 years. Illustration is so fascinating and content is well organized with crisp description, for that age group definitely it is very informative.Little downside : the case binding could be more durable, for that expense pages getting out of case's spine makes disappointing.

I appreciate that National Geographic provides quality materials for every age; this is a great dinosaur book for young readers. Here are some reasons I’m really impressed with this book:- the artwork is fantastic, it’s full of vibrantly colourful pages and printed on quality paper (they obviously anticipated little hands turning the pages over and over again);- I appreciate the easy phonetics included for each dinosaur name (they are easy to read and inspire kids to vocalize each one);- it’s organized from small dinosaurs to big, then giant, and finally gigantic ones – so the impressiveness of the dinosaur sizes builds as you move through the book (there are mini legends on each page that give children a perspective of each dinosaur’s size as compared to a human); and,- there are interesting little fun facts or presumptions about each dinosaur that bring them more to life in a child’s imagination.National Geographic has made learning about dinosaurs easy and fun with this book – any kid who is excited by dinosaurs is sure to love it. For a truly dinosaur-inspired gift (for a six-year old nephew), I paired this book with a Dinosaur Dig Science kit also found on Bolo here: Discover with Dr. Cool Ultimate Dinosaur Dig Science KitI definitely recommend this book for young dinosaur enthusiasts.
great introductory book on dinos....
my six yr grandson is learning not only about dinos... but the book has a wonderful and playful way for little kids to learn how to pronounce their scientific names... even adults have problems with.... nice photos and interactional pieces in the book make reading an enjoyable trip.. We are on 2nd time through the book....
