5.0 out of 5 stars This book is the bomb

L. · April 21, 2020

From start to finish, this book doesn't keep my daughters mind in one place for too long, each page will highlight short stories and reading comprehension worksheets, with facts about past heros, etc. She's in 1st grade and I just got these to keep her brain active during the 50 shades of Covid- she loves the material and she flies through the pages feeling accomplished!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty great

Fantastic! I almost think that these might be too easy for my little girl. But I am looking forward to seeing the grade 2 for her by the end of the summer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Teach your kids what liberals don’t want them to know

T. · April 25, 2020

Excellent! I like the relative start; discusses personal things like school and how to be a good citizen. My son can relate to the beginning info (being s good citizen in school, understanding wants and needs). Excellent book to give children a much needed education in civics and how to be an American

4.0 out of 5 stars Kindergarten level!

L.J. · August 31, 2025

This is a simple book mostly for kindergarten than 1st graders. Great to add to your homeschool lessons.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good book and informative

R.B.B. · December 1, 2022

Great book but just not enough information, and wished the pictures would have been in color!!! Needed extra help/ materials to go with this book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Does the trick but not the best

C. · October 24, 2024

I like how the book is broken up week by week and day by day and overall it works okay for a social studies curriculum but it’s definitely lacking in several aspects. Topics are not well covered and don’t go into much detail, the pictures are also extremely dull and can be hard to make out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Too easy for first grade

r.o. · September 19, 2022

Too easy for first grade this book really doesn’t have a lot to do with history or social studies. We homeschool our kids and bought the entire 180 workbook collection the only ones I personally think are worth buying or the English books, reading, writing, spelling, sight words. All the other books are very repetitive and too easy for our first grader our youngest is in kindergarten and even she says the books are easy

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than private school!

A.C. · August 19, 2024

Our 5-yr old just started the 1st grade books. We also have an 8-yr old who has nearly completed the 6th grade version of these books (started the Kindergarten version) , and she is the brightest 8-yr old we've come in contact with.Highly recommended! No religious, or ethnocentric spin (aside from the fact that they’re designed for American children), just straight facts!
