Waist of Time and ... trust in NOLO. This books 132 pages are 95% filled with petty, bland, by most useless information as well as the "legal Forms'themselves. Legal forms for such topics as "Children's Car Pool Agreement, 'Authorization to Drive a Motor Vehicle", "Tenant References","Pet Care Agreement" "House Sitting Instructions"Notice To Put Name in in Do Not Call List", "Complaint to a Government Agency" etc. have little o not use for the regular population seaching for real "legal forms and sound guidelines. I don't believe any of this legal forms will compensate for the $20.87 + taxes I paid for this Book, except for NOLO's direct book selling profits... done before I even opened their funny book's content. I had to help myself researching the topics in the local public library and internet.Actually, I may suggest, the NOLO company to gift out this book as a complement to those serious consumers who do purchase their "real" and well- priced stuff'including Quicken Willmaker & Trust, price ranging $70 -$110 even for last year's or new but used one. Very desapointed.

We were going to hire a lawyer to help us with some real-estate matters. It was going to be expensive, but it seemed like a necessity. Then, we saw this book and decided to give it a read. The forms that we needed were presented in this book! We photocopied that area and saved a crazy amount of money. For real!I showed this to a law professor who said that, in many cases, these are all most people need (especially for basic, uncontested issues).This removes so much guesswork and so much worry. And, it can save you hundreds of dollars (that you can put toward that family vacation, that perfect meal, that luxury fashion item, etc.)! Amazing!Now, you will also appreciate the beginning of the book which discusses the limitation of these forms. So, do read those. (Most of these limitations involve complex situations like assigning a different guardian to each child or how power of attorney for real estate differs in Pennsylvania and New York. And so on.) Therefore, do read the beginning of this text rather than simply flipping through the various forms. It will help a lot!A handy book that will pay for itself over, and over, and over, etc. A must-have for all families! Super highly recommended!

This book contains a myriad of useful forms. I expected it to be reminiscent of the tax form booklets that you can get at the post office, but it's much more than that.Rather than just a dry, utilitarian book of legal documents, it contains thoughtful, easy-to-read explanations and tips to help you fill it out and to protect yourself against common mistakes and misconceptions. This book is not for lawyers, it's for everyday people who can benefit from plain language legal documents to protect themselves and their interests for common life events in which a clear, concise documented agreement may come in handy.The book has an introduction that explains how to use the book. There are the basics of filling out the forms properly, how to annotate or delete clauses or phrases correctly, how to describe people, property, and events, when to have documents notarized, and very importantly, when to consult a lawyer!In addition to the forms that one might assume are included (wills, rental matters, purchasing and selling things), there are also forms for things that I would never have thought of, such as pet care agreements, and a telemarketing phone call log. I didn't know I needed those, but they sure will come in handy!In addition to the forms in the book, there is something else that is wonderfully useful: A link to a website where you can download copies of every form in the book! This is fantastic because it saves one from having to photocopy or transcribe the forms into a word processing application.While I thought that this book would come in handy from time to time, it actually turned out to be a very useful educational tool to help one think about the importance of using effective documentation for common events in life.

I own several books by Nolo such as books on frequently asked legal questions and how to deal with legal issues related to your neighbors. Their books have always given me advice that is applicable to my daily life and easy to understand. You can save a lot of money by reading one of their books before you make a decision to hire a lawyer. This book of law forms is great to have on hand for when I need some of these forms. The book includes forms for preparing a will, establishing limited powers of attorney, rental applications, borrowing or lending money, and many others. The best part is that a link is included that allows you to download these forms online, so you have an electronic copy of all of them. The book also gives you detailed advice on how to fill out each form for your situation. Almost anyone could benefit from this book, so I highly recommend it.

You get a bunch of forms and instructions on when you need them, and how to fill them out. The instructions are written in plain English and are easy to understand. It explains how to fill out and how to sign, so the forms will be actually valid. It is a good resource to have on hand
