I purchased this for my niece and nephew. My husband and I started a book club with them to help them with their finances. A great way to share great advice about money. Although we don't agree on everything in the book, it is a great tool to start a conversation with our young generation.

Dave Ramsey helps bring debt into reality and makes the reader understand why it is a terrible thing to have. His plans can seem outlandish for those that arent committed. If you think this is true I highly suggest at least using his budgeting mechanisms you can see where your money is going. You'll be surprised with how your spending money and why your behaviors need to change.

I really like reading books like these to see if I can learn something new. I'm a little disappointed that I only took away one snippet of information from this book because my current systems work better for me.

I read the original version of this book and had to have several copies to share with my 19-year-old children. I went online and found the updated version here on Bolo, and the hard cover was offered under $12 a book! I purchased three of them, what a bargain! Dave Ramsey is a great consultant for those who are just getting started out in the world after high school or college when it comes to spending, saving, and donating money. He has a no nonsense approach to weeding out The good, the bad, and the really ugly in the world of finances. This book has opened my eyes too many truths about what works and what is a scam in the world of spending and saving. Thank you Bolo for the great price!

Worth buying
It’s a very good book. I’ve earlier seen Dave Ramsey’s videos on his YouTube channel that’s the reason I bought this book. Everything is explained in a simple and systematic manner. I think everyone should read this book. Totally recommend it.
If you're not living in debt, don't buy this
I was looking for a book that gives practical guidance on personal finance and investment. This book spends a lot of the chapters talking about changing your mindset of debt, why debt is not good, how to get rid of debt, a big part of the book is about getting rid of debt.. It has sensible strategies for dealing with debts if you're drowned by it. But if the only debt you have is your mortgage for example, this book is completely useless. It's also very US-centric, filled with anecdotes and stories to fill out the content of the book. The practical advice/ method themselves are minimal

This is a life changing book for those who have trying to get their personal finances in order for many years and not understanding what was wrong. Having lived most of my life in the USA and now living in Sweden I can see how much of this is catered to those whom are culturally and economically taught to manage their money in America. Though a very great book for personal finance anyway and you can definitly apply these principles elsewhere and get along fine. Recommended and easy to read and understand.
