5.0 out of 5 stars As described
Excellent information meet my expectations
5.0 out of 5 stars Detailed- great for those learning
Ton of information in nice detail
5.0 out of 5 stars Great starter book
Very thoughtful and informative
4.0 out of 5 stars Not hardware specific. But good info
General Netwroking concepts, not hardware specific, and does get the point across. (So not a lot of command info)I personally use My Cisco centric version of this, along with this to better understand concepts.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing resource for neurodivergent learners.
I love the repetition and casual conversation tone of this book. The material is easily digestible allowing learning progression to occur naturally.
5.0 out of 5 stars Networking 101
Great book. Well written. Fantastic reference
5.0 out of 5 stars Introductions to computer networking.
Really good book on networking.
1.0 out of 5 stars Who is this book for? Keep looking….
Where to even begin. This book covers a lot of topics very superficially, excludes or barely covers a lot of pertinent networking topics, and it includes a bunch of outdated, thus useless, information. So I am left wondering who would benefit from this book??!From a practical standpoint, nobody. It doesn’t cover any one topic sufficiently, and it excludes most important contemporary Ethernet and tcp/ip networking topics, or barely mentions them. Even a windows network administrator wouldn’t gain anything from this book. I saw the copyright was 2025 so figured it would be up to date and relevant, but felt duped after going through it! I realize dummies books are supposed to be approachable, but come on, this book is mostly irrelevant. This should be in a goodwill bin for $1.50. Keep looking!!!
